Was the base glue-up really done in one go? Must have been a nerve wracking day. Absolutely gorgeous design! That little tearout must have been just heartbreaking but such an ingenious recovery. Great build!

It was done in one glue-up yes. I had everything at the ready and done in stages so the glue didn’t dry too much!

Thank you! Yes, the bolt holes through the base are oversized (5/8") to allow seasonal movement. The bolts are 1/4" and have extra large washers.
