sir, in negative binomial distribution the mean will always be > variance. as kq/p and kq/p2 makes the numerator a smaller quantity..

Variance of a binomial distribution will be greater than its mean bcz fraction with smaller denominator will be greater than the fraction with greater denominator as u have mentioned in your comment
