  • best led light for aquarium plants, Do LED lights help aquarium plants grow?
    Comparison of LED lights for planted tank aquarium, Full Spectrum LED lights are best suited for aquatic plants. However some hobbyist use other DIY solutions.
    It all depends on what kind of plants you want to grow. I.e. for carpet plants I.e. Cuba, Montecarlo etc. SUNSUN ADE/S is best in my opinion.

    For carpet plants best result will be with high end lights having wrgb with high lumen per watt and high Kelvin value like Chihiros WRGB PRO, Week Aqua, Twinstar etc. They are expensive but worth and best part is you can adjust the spectrum and Kelvin value with their app. But of course if one can afford them.

Then he suggested me about go for SUNSUN. im going for SUNSUN aquarium planted light. It will me help to get densed background+ foreground plants too? I want densed background to make good hiding place for my fishes and shrimps.

      AQUA FLORA . Thank you so much for your reply . I am using Ada Amazonia , with power sand m. Also added bacter.. yes co2 with 3-4 bubble per second. I even used 10 flourish tabs . And have got Seachem ferts . But a friend suggested to use ei dosing . So I stayed dosing ei . Growth sometime is fast and now I feel it’s slow . And stem are thin. And yellowish thing on leaf. Right now its too warmer and not helping with red plants, so will that led strip help?

    • @AQUAFLORA
      @AQUAFLORA  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks! whatever I describe in my videos, I first test on my aquariums with different plants, To be honest answer could be Yes and No. All manufactures make planted led lights in a balanced full spectrum method, in my opinion if you increase certain color it might increase algae issues. That's why brands like Finnex/Fluval/Juwel etc. will make it relatively low emission(so even a beginner can use it and doesn't loose the balance). Also, growth of plants depends on their nature as well. In your case I would suggest slowly(4-5 hrs) introduce your new LEDs and monitor growth but don't be surprised if you start seeing some other issues I.e. Algae etc. Enjoy the Hobby!!

    Sir carpet plants only grow on the carpet, if you give very high light along with Co2 properly then it will grow tall. I feel that for carpet plants, the best way of propagation of the plants on the carpet should be done with the seeds of these carpet plants and then try to grow the plants without any water within the tank and try to cover the aquarium until you see the roots of the plants within the substarte, once you see that that has happened, then you can water the tank and then everything depends on how much fertilizers, Co2, and light is provided to the aquarium as such. Let me tell you I do not agree to your funda of high lighting for carpet plants. If you give very high light to carpet plants, it will grow tall, which is not what we require. If you try this then surely you can grow most of the carpet plants, however there are certain carpet plants, which are really tough to grow, the cuba variety is one such plant. For any plants within an aquarium the basic three parameters are fertilizer, CO2 and amount of lighting. Many people have alos found that it's not the kelvins of the lights that matter, it's the hours of the light that is provided to the plants as well that matters the most

    • @CoolRahulize
      @CoolRahulize ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tomshaji anyways if a person is struggling with live plants, especially the carpeting plants, then the best option left are seeds or propagation with seeds. Yes it's true when you don't see anything growing from the seeds or when it's only seeds, you can't see the plants growing from it, then quite natural to say it's fake, but that's a thing that you can consider as a chance. Who knows what you end up to. It depends completely upon which stage a person is in propagation of the aquatic carpeting plants. But let me say this, I have seen people do it and getting success and myself did it and got a lot of success. All of this confidence is because bof that.

      @CoolRahulize they seeds are taken from some grass which isn't a aquatic plant. After growing for some weeks it will eventually melt off to nothing...
