I just unlocked the drone yesterday and having a history in BF3 and BF4 of using quads and bikes rigged with c4 and driving them into tanks or other armored vehicles, I immediately started utilizing the drones similarly. At first, my friend and I would rig them with about 7 c4s and we would take turns detonating them at poor enemy ground troops. We once got a 5k when they were all lying on a bridge. This is by far the funnest strat imo. For solo, the claymore drone definitely looks more hilarious but I would also agree that the AP mine drone is more effective. I can only imagine the fear that I instill into the enemies as they hear the 10th drone or so coming at them with just one intention: To blow up right in their face! LMAO
My favorite way to instill fear is to have a few of my homies swarm with me at the same time. Hearing 5 different buzzes descending on you makes it a horror game lol.
I also love the "adjustable payload" where i can choose how big i want the insta-kill radius of the delivery to be. 1 bomb means only the center will instakill, while 4 bombs detonating simultanously would deal more damage in the same area

You should have the AP mines hanging off the front of the drone some for max effect. They need to actually touch a person to detonate and this helps with that. Also I crank up the DPI on my mouse when flying and its WAY easier with more control.
Yeah as much I love the game in general drone bombing is a massive reason why I play as much as I do. Ive seen a lot of people say they think it will eventually be removed but ive seen no evidence supporting that just people speculating. LONG LIVE DRONE BOMBING
@@czebosak Battlefield had a similar thing (it was way better as a weapon then what we have) and they removed it so I think people are just assuming battlebit will do the same. Im confident they won’t
@@Pinks0 I'm a regular battlefield 2042 player and I'm pretty sure the drones there can explode just by themselves, however I'm not sure since I dont really play with them
I think you failed to mention how the middle scroll will actually zoom in, I know it doesn't fit your drone play style but it helps for those who like to fly high
i usually try to attack groups coming from their rear as theyll likely to assume the drone is from their teammates and/or possibly remove their attention to the fight allowing your squad to advance lol
I like doing that sometimes too but I feel like coming from the side works best for me cus if hey have tm8s behind them they will hear me diving and shoot at me
Flying high is also good because you’re not likely to be shot down from that height and enemies from below can’t hear you and you can dive a big group once you spot one
I don't like flying high unless you have cover because you can get shot down so easy and once you get a few kills people will be looking out for drones constantly
@@Pinks0 I normally fly high so that as I'm going I can ping enemies locations for my team if they are moving up, if you bind your spot key to something more consistant to press then middle mouse you can ping a enemy as they move
I agree with it being great for clearing out campers (especially people on slanted rooftops) but its not wasteful to kill one person lol. A kill is a kill and if you always go for big groups you will probably be more wasteful cus you will got shot down a lot more. I def try to get groups if I can but in most cases you take what’s available
Now, why does the Soldier stats list the Air Drone as 0 kills, which implies it can get kills. Grappling hook doesn't do damage, but Somehow Air Drone can without explosives?
Im not sure why it is listed in the kills section cus i have not seen any way that the drone can get kills without the added explosives. When drones are shot down even if they shoot the drone you dont do any damage they have to shoot the mine for it to do any damage
Construction with 264 players is my most hated map option...unless i main drone that is. 30-40 kills easy with 0 deaths since you can reach pretty much the whole map from spawn...
i personally haven't tried it but in theory it should for sure work cus the mines look and work exactly the same you just got to fly the drone into the vehicle
I place the drone... I have tried putting mines on it... but no matter what I do, I can't figure out I get to fly it.... It just sits on the ground, and I can't get into pilot it
my experience with drones is. get to about 60 to 100m alti and never strike unless its going to be a multi kill. + learn the best angle of attack using decend forward and shift to hit at max speed. also using a higher mouse sens helps
Resupplies are only found in your spawn area (ive seen one exception) usually towards the back. I have a video I just released that shows the resupplies of namak but I haven’t made a video showing just the resupplies though I have considered it
They haven’t patched it. Sometimes i do get a bug though where my drone gets shot down but im somehow still flying it. To check if that happened to you, you can go back out of the drone and back in or just hover in front of someone and see if they react

The squad leader class is also able to use drones which is great bc you can use an assault rifle.

sudden-pipebomb-delivery has to be one of my favourite tactics for enclosed spaces or when i want to clear out an area.

This strat is best used to clear out camper spots. Do not priorities one person. That is wasteful and dumb. Always look for big clusters

Claymore doesn't work anymore? It doesn't create the tripwire lines when its on a drone.
the claymore still works its just super buggy and you can go into someone and it still doesn't explode consistently . Mines for lyfe
I place the drone... I have tried putting mines on it... but no matter what I do, I can't figure out I get to fly it.... It just sits on the ground, and I can't get into pilot it
You hit 5 to pull out the tablet and then right click to enter the drone.

the drone for me is exetremly janky it like vibrates super violently when ever i put the ap on it and im only putting 1 on
this happens sometimes if you just let go of all the movement controls for a second it usually fixs

Yeah you use right click but with mines you just run into them you dont need to hit anything

Try to aim for peoples legs. I usually have the most consistent detonations that way.

You either have to turn up the dpi on your mouse or your sensitivity in game
