Wow!! Joni Mitchell meets Phil Spector's wall of sound. I wasn't exactly looking for this, but I'm mighty glad I found it. This is so inventive, unique and awesome !!
Thanks for purchasing our CD! Yes, we perform in Rochester during the summer, and although I can not post a webpage in a comment section of youtube, you can find a link to our site on our youtube page. Simply go to our events link.
You girls rock, and whoever your musical director/arranger is, he or she deserves some major props for re-imagining "Both Sides Now" as a 1963 girl group record, complete with Jack Nietzche arrangement and Hal Blaine on drums.
WOW!!!! ... on the harmonies!!!!!! Nice. There must be a set of sisters in there somewhere for harmonies to be that tight. Geez. Sweet sound. And great driving drums!
American Idol divas, Beyonce, Christina, Fergie, etc. - learn from these young, modest girls proving the power of melody, harmony, and a steady pitch. Whoever arranged this version should rearrange the music industry.
EXCELLENT! I enjoyed this very much...you girls are awesome, great harmonies... wonderful song to listen to and so refreshing in todays world. Thanks so much and keep the good music going:)
Fun arrangement that brings a different dimension to this familiar songs, plus great harmonies. I wish the sound quality were better, or that there were a studio version of you doing this arrangement. You should be very proud of yourselves!
I think this is the same arrangement that the Johnsons used when they released it - but a little bit faster, and maybe a bit less Irish. I think it's great. The B-side to the Johnsons one was "Urge for Going" and it's even better. Not on TH-cam though as far as I can find it...
I never heard this arrangement of this song. I've heard Joni Mitchell's and the hit version by Judy Collins. My guess is that you all arranged this yourself to get that early 60's Phil Specter/And Then He Kissed Me sound. The Rickenbacker 12 riff and the Leader Of The Pack drum beat.
60's music is way better than the stuff from today, I hate Rap and RnB, they dominate the music field and think they have skill, when really it's complete and utter tripe.

This really is an excellent performance, and I happened upon this page by accident, so glad I did!

This girl group even sounds great live! First class!
My stars! You girls are fantastic!
The group just came together; two girls attended the same school. They did not sing as a group before It's My Party.
Are these the same girls who sing in the "I Couldn't Live Without Your Love" video? It sure sounds like them.

You have really brought back good music!

This looks like the vocal line-up (which has changed with time) of Danielle, Lindsey, and Katie. And, yes, they are three very good voices.
Good work you, you all!

Each generation gets the music they deserve.

The arrangement is from The Johnstons version, released in late 1968.
Hey, this is actually pretty good. Keep at it, girls.
Wow Girls KEEP IT Up
Wonderful singing girls.
I like this arrangement. Some other versions drag a bit too much. Very nice job ladies!
Watching this again in 2024!
Awesome!
AWESOME!
very nice....you got the 60's look down-pat!
Not yet, though it is a possibility for a new release in 2011.
Hey your group is terrific! Nice sound and a nice stage presence. Do you have any music available??
You girls are wonderful!
I bought two singles by you roughly ten years ago. I just picked up "R.S.V.P." from the CD Exchange. Do you perform in Rochester itself?
nice
This is a teen girl group
I always enjoyed this musical entity but don't they switch members often?
@itsmypartygirlgroup Don't let it sound electronic please.

Great sound. I just wish you would get the microphones out of your faces. It really is distracting.
