Singing a English song is quite risky because this show is broadcast for Vietnamese so the judges encourage contestants to sing in Vietnamese rather than English. Because there have been some cases which is contestants can sing English song very well but when singing in Vietnamese it turn kinda awful

same question i wanted to ask all the judges... what are they looking for? the girl sang beautifully and i think after some coaching she will performs better

Because the judges there don't understand the tone of the voice, they are just looking for what they want, and they don't deserve to be judges.
The most famous singers never made it in competitions
Also she got some words wrong, this is vary big to them for if they cant remember a songs words they way they are it can make big problems with the girls life. Most producers weight the songs and if they keep messes them up it can make them lose money. She is good, but flat on so Dminer notes and again replace some words. She also was told after that the reasons they didn't was because she didn't choose a song they felt fit her voice. They told her on the show to go pick different song and come back. They even told her if she finds a ccx song that doesn't sound forced she can put more emotion behind it and that is what turns chars the most. She good yes, but they did not turn for these reasons. And again they liked her just felt like she had held back and told her also next time to let it out not hold back but yell.

@@hannahdao8332 I don’t agree with you . At least somebody should have turned and asked for a Vietnamese song to sing. She is great in singing and she knows the notes. I’m sure she can also sing any song in any language if someone could sing a song well.
@@juliat4877 cuz the judges only have some slots left so they need to be careful in selecting contestants. I don't mean the contestants cannot sing English or any language songs but in this situation sing another language will not be ENCOURAGE if they want to go further. Let me give you a clearly example to make it easier to imagine, you may not speak this language well but when you sing for some reason your pronunciation will become better (if you have learned another language, you will know this). And there is some information I need to mention here is that in my country there are still have regional language so it is very difficult to judge when contestants sing in English, not their mother tongue. Hope my information can help you understand 🥰
I agree the last little girl deserved at least a chair turn. She did 1 of the hardest songs to sing & did it amazingly. There are professionals who can't do it justice as well as she did. The young boy singing "all by myself" is in a class ALL BY HIMSELF!!!
