1996 NovaBus RTS-06 8768 On The M116 @ Broadway & West 106th Street With Air Starter & Shutdown

Along with a clip of this bus on the M116, the bus turns off and then you'll hear the ever so awesome air starter coming from this bus, I was making sure that I do NOT take off the camera during this recording! LOL!

So why do they shut down at a stop and why shut down with the high idle engaged?
