  • Kirsty’s and her husband’s life was rather tough at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, with a three-year-old son, a baby and two full-time jobs. One day, Kirsty proposed to go on a hike to break the daily routine, which turned out to be a disaster after her son’s continuing whining and complaining. However, as she realized that that hike had done well to her, and decided to go hiking every weekend, she was able to find some relief from the stressing pandemic life, and eventually to also convince her son that it was worth it.
Kirsty Bennett is manager of the MIT Women's League and founder of MITell, a storytelling community group for MIT.
