I love how that one lady appears so energetic as she sings, though those who stand around her might be a bit annoyed at her seeming inability to stand still and sing, like most of the choir is doing. She looks like she's totally into the singing, 100% aware of every irony in it, and loving it.
I saw this 1st on Current tv. I thought, "I have to find this video and share it with my friends on Facebook. " So I did. Now I am gonna add it to my youtube channel. Thank you Helsinki Complaints Choir. Thank you.
"Our ancestors could have picked a sunnier place to be" is my favorite gripe. Since we don't have public saunas in Los Angeles (not any you'd want to go to anyway!) I'd love the chance to toss some water in a sauna without asking. Great job & thanks so much for brightening my day.
This has always been my favorite and, in my opinion, the best of all the complaint choirs. Music is catchy, yet has depth and some interesting change-ups. The video is shot well and the collection of complaints is cleverly strung together.
Superb! The group is amazing. Their expressions, with perfectly chosen words at the precise moment, make it even more adorable. Just can't get enough of it. LOL
kub73158, nice to hear that you feel that way.Finland has allways been small but proud nation and I hope that it will stay that way.Meillon kultturi ja kieli josta moni euroopan "suurmaa" on aiheesta kateellinen.Hyvin tehty video ja biisi.
i love helsinki, i love finns. Helsinki was my house for one year.. the last year.. and i miss helsinki so much, the discotheques the girls and everything.... REALLY NICE VIDEO
You are definetely the VERY VERY best of all complaint choirs. I have listened to many and also like Hamburg, Chicago (although they have no subtitles), Gabriola and Budapest, but the rest is kind of poor. Great job, great song, good singers... always a pleasure to watch this video.
the furniture thing is so spot on. nothing is more irritating than seeing an ad of a really good table for example and you order it only to have it delivered in a box with the instructions on how to make it.
What a great idea, and beautifully executed. Sorry about the dental care. Government run? I hope at a minimum you can the pee prob on tramline 3 worked out. Thanks for pulling this off and sharing. It's an instant fave with me.
I'm French and until this very moment I used to believe that we were the complaining world champions, but with the Helsinki Complaint Choir, complaining becomes a genuine art! I think we found our masters there! Bravo! ;o)
I live in Sweden, but I just signed up for a full-time Finnish program that starts in a few weeks...this was encouragement to learn more about the language and culture! HOW FUNNY! And we do that thing where you hide from the Tv license inspector here, too!
Wonderful video! Very stylish, great music, great text and specially great they have subtitled it! Because the Finnish language is indeed bloody hard to learn! And what I like most about this video, the people! The people are so normal! No half photo-models, normal people of all ages, like one can meet in every day life. Perhaps we Dutch should create a Dutch version, because I think we Dutch are the best complainers in the world.
Really good video. It remembers me such a group like ULTRA BRA. I really enjoyed this video. And the english translation was also quite good. Hyvin tehty hauska videopätkä!
It's funny to see what people complain about. I am Hungarian supposedly relative of Finns but listening to the language I highly doubt it. :) Anyways, check out the Hungarian Complaint Choir! We also complain about the tram but most of the subjects are different. :)
i feel the same! its so powerful, even if some of the complaints seem frivolous and trivial, there are some powerful messages inside.... :) beautiful singing.
That complaints choir (just video ofcourse) were in Helsiki modern art museum, Kiasma, one or two years ago. Mahtavaa, voikun itsekkin pääsis valittamaan tonne kuoroon.
Yes, I know... I was in Helsinki last August to study Finnish (I've been studying Finnish for 3 years, but I never visited Finland before), I din't learn much but I enjoyed my stay and watch this video at Kiasma! Great! Terveisia Italiasta! Agnese
What a great idea and good realization! Finland anf its inhabitants are very nice! The line about the start of christmas is just so true! Just go to the "Santa Claus Village" or what ever that awkward thing in Rovaniemi is called. It's verry weird to be in shorts at 25 degrees and listen "Jingle Bells" in the middle of July. The only thing funny is the Asian tourists hopping across the polar circle and trying to capture that great step of their life with a super modern camera....
So many years since I first watched this, and it's still relevant - and quite uplifting : - D thank you, Helsinki!
This was probably one of the first TH-cam vids I watched. It was SO good, and it's still awesome now!

I've never heard complaints sound more beautiful than that. Bravo Finland!
- Random American that was linked this video.
I love the line "Our ancestors could have picked a sunnier place to live!" I feel your pain from Michigan!!!
I saw this 1st on Current tv. I thought, "I have to find this video and share it with my friends on Facebook. " So I did. Now I am gonna add it to my youtube channel. Thank you Helsinki Complaints Choir. Thank you.
I've seen some of the other complaints choirs this inspired, but I still like the original Finnish one best.
i love it! especially the ringtone section - and also i love the fact that this could be pretty much anwhere in the western world, not just finland

BEST complaint choir. Fantastic lyrics, tune and setup. I keep coming back to it. Well done!!
Thank you Helsinki - Wonderful and timely. wb
I just finally saw this today on Current TV -- too funny! And it's an inspiration for when I draw a blank trying to write song lyrics!
Great job, great song, good singers.. I agree with you!
You are definetely the VERY VERY best of all complaint choirs. I have listened to many and also like Hamburg, Chicago (although they have no subtitles), Gabriola and Budapest, but the rest is kind of poor.

Kiitos! I like the music with is words, so touching and funny. Great singers with melodious voices.
This is just THE BEST!!!! I love the serious faces! Portland, Oregon loves you!!!
I really love this choir, my colleague showed it to me on a Czech server. I'd like to see something like that in Czech Republic as well, could be fun!
the furniture thing is so spot on. nothing is more irritating than seeing an ad of a really good table for example and you order it only to have it delivered in a box with the instructions on how to make it.
This is the Best choir of all is so perfect professional 100%
What a great idea, and beautifully executed. Sorry about the dental care. Government run? I hope at a minimum you can the pee prob on tramline 3 worked out. Thanks for pulling this off and sharing. It's an instant fave with me.

that was not only hysterical, but the arrangement was extremely well done!! WONDERFUL!
I've watched this one so many times.... and I keep loving it!! =D!!
It does look lovely, doesn't it? And the Finnish language is one I'd love to hear every day and learn more myself.
Best complaint choir ever!!!!!!!!!!
I really liked this. Very clever. Except, of course, for the minute+ of deadly silence at the end.
Oh yeah, and thanks for the subtitles!

Makes me smile.
This is incredible!
This song sure give me "Allways look on the bright side of life" -feeling. Great piece indeed!
One of the finest choral numbers I've ever heard.
Very funny and poignant, beautiful voices and a wonderful piece of music. Regards from Southern California.
Awesome! Bravo Helsinki. This complaints choir is the best one.
Love that lady 4:59 singing about slowly walking husband - she definitely knows something about it:o)
Absolutely amazing!!
On se niin väärin, on se niin väärin! Ihan paras tämä! Voi, että tuo valittaminen on niin mukavaa. :'D

I just realized this "detail" after maybe 2 years of listening, brilliant!
that was amazing! :)
Very well done, and now one of my favorites! :)
Kimi Raikkonnen needs to join this choir.
It would suit his time at Mclaren perfectly. ;-)

Okay, I can officially say that this is the most viral song/tune ever. I CANNOT get it out of my head!

Wow, this is brilliant! We need a London one!
Love the ring tone comment. I've gotta learn those words so that everytime I hear that blasted ring tone I can sing to it.
In the case you're still looking for it:
2:13 - 2:31
"Soittoäänet kaikki yhtä ärsyttäviä!" X 4 (the last one cut at "soittoäänet kaikki yhtä-").
this is so cool. love from sweden!
The ringtone bit is genius!
!!!Video Clip of the year!!!
I love this...especially he one guy with the mega phone: "the finnish language is bloody hard to learn!" ...the ringtone bit was awesome
Whenever a Nokia mobile phone rings I start to sing: "soittoäänet kaikki yhtä ärsyttäviä", so my family has already learnt this small phrase... :D
Love it - especially the "idiots on the escalator" line. Well done.
That was ABSOLUTELY AWSOME!!!
Love the piano.
I love this! Such a beautiful language. One that, of course, can make curse words sound gorgeous.
BRILLIANT! :)
GOD I lOVE THIS!!! I feel like this damn near allthe time....
What a great idea and good realization!
Finland anf its inhabitants are very nice!
The line about the start of christmas is just so true!
