    Thanks Graham. I don’t use flash often enough, when it could give great benefits. Last week a small group of friends went to Lake Vyrnwy Hotel in Powys for a night away. I really should have taken my M4/3 camera and i40 flash but took my A7iii instead, for which I have no flash. Group shots in the dark were less than great even though the A7iii is one of the best low light/high iso cameras available. There is no substitute for light and a combination of on camera and remote i40 would have made all the difference. A far bigger difference than sensor size.
    Did get some stellar shots from the hotel over the lake though, both with and without a varying amount of mist, both colour and mono. I read every one of your blogs. Thanks again. It’s very much appreciated.

      Absolutely light is always the key ingredient to a successful image and the humble flash gun should never be ruled out.

    I bought an FZ 80 a couple years ago followed by the FZ 300. Your videos have been indispensable. Thank you so much. I wasn't sure if these bridge cameras would be compatible with the Godox system off camera for woodland macro photography but this video answered all my questions. Panasonic should be paying you! :)

    Very impressed with how the colors and sharpness on this video looks, what camera were you using to film yourself, what color settings and lighting, I really like it.

    I'm using an S5 with a Godox X-Pro trigger - when my remote is in the hot shoe, the camera's live view exposure turns off - any idea if that's a quirk with the S cameras or is there a setting I might be missing? I also tried using a single pin converter with the X-Pro to see if the other pin contacts were interfering. For now, I have to turn the trigger off, set the ambient exposure, then turn the trigger back on and the camera live view compensates for the current ambient - not a true what you see is what you get mirrorless experience when using flash - kind of a bummer.

    Thanks Graham. I'm still getting my head around this. I have a Panasonic Lumix FZ1000 and a Yongnuo YN600EX-RT from an old Canon 5D Mk III and I've been trying to get them to work together using wireless 2.4GHz. I'm not yet sure why they won't recognise one another. Do I need a Godox XPro-O transmitter?

    Hi Graham. Is it possible to (on the FZ80) if I can set the rear dial to pull focus. Is there a mode to do that or is it just the default settings. Love your content, thank you.

    Hi, Graham. I'm a true novice and bought this camera in the hopes of using it for TH-cam videos. I like to zoom to about 70-80mm and am hoping to use in 4k, but I have no idea what I'm doing.
    Firstly, is there a monitor you recommend for this model? And a tripod mount that can allow for the monitor to be as close to the lens as possible?
    And secondly, are there basic settings you would recommend for recording video inside? I am still trying to find a good lighting setup as well, so eventually I'd like to know how to adjust the white balance.
    Apologies for my ignorance and if these are very basic questions! And thank you for the tip to purchase a tripod mounting plate so that I can swap out the batteries more easily-- that was a huge issue for me!
    Thanks!☀

    Just one nit pick! I would name the flash guns in title, as you explain about types, it would be icing on cake, a bit like Tags when your wanting people to find your tutorials!

    Graham I have the i40 flash but when I put it on my G9 the flash mode in my menu is ghosted out :(. I can't seem to get my G9 to see the flash unit, any idea on why mate ?

    • @GrahamHoughton12
      @GrahamHoughton12  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Have you tried the usual culprits like silent mode being on or electronic shutter used, burst mode enabled, I haven't got a G9 anymore but I suspect it is a camera setting rather than incompatible.
