I am so sorry you lost your mom last year. I lost my dad 19 years ago and it literally broke my heart. Fortunately, I had my faith in God that kept me going. I want to encourage you that even though your pain is still raw (the first year is the hardest)...over time, the pain will lessen and the overwhelming days of sadness become fewer and further apart. In spite of the 19 years that have passed, there is rarely a day that I don't think of my dad. The dull ache down deep inside will never go away, but I can finally talk about him and remember the precious years I was blessed to have him in my life, without tearing up. I'm sorry for the painful journey you are on, but know there is hope on the other side.

She obviously was a wonderful lady and meant the world to you, giving you much inspiration. I too just lost my mom after Christmas. It has been a year of tremendous grief. She was my first true best friend. Hang in there and I will keep you in my thoughts.

I started my first December daily this year, and it has helped me to see the joy in every day, to recognize the struggles, and to get past those feelings without suppressing them. I love them too but only have a couple tiny ones because storing them is intimidating. How do you store yours so they don't get squished?
