With this chapter, I can already see that we're heading to something like Golden age. War politics, tactics with Strike Raid commander Guts perhaps making a comeback, Kushan army vs. Griffith's brand of the hawk. It's beautiful. Then we have The Apostoles to deal with against witches of elven Island and Guts's gang. This is going to get wild.
Good lord, Griffith isn't just laying the ground work for Midland becoming the new human empire, he's freaking attempt to make it the ONLY human empire. But I think this goes back to what Skull Knight said to Gutts and Shrkie on the beach, a magic user about as dangerous as a army of 10,000. So he's hunting them all down to secure his "eternal" reign.
I’ve always thought what was the point of Magnífico being with the crew, Muria didn’t do things so randomly… it just occurred to me that Magnífico might be the one to use Guts’ behelit
I have a feeling the way guts is gonna kill rakshas is by him firing off his arm Canon right into rakshas face, a call back to how rickert injured him.
Idk man, why Rakshas appeared hurt? Thats a recent wound, what Rickert did to him happened like years ago. My theory is that he tried to betray Griffith and got wounded really bad, so he will now try to join the Kushans. That or, if hes going to die it will be because of Silat, he has to prove himself as a capable general in front of the council
I think the panel of guts’ face is more than just him being in excruciating pain. I feel this is a turning point or a breaking point for guts, Griffith has taken casca away from him for the second time just how in the eclipse, and we saw how he became during the black swordsman/ lost children arc. This is taking us back to that guts, his face shows a thirst of violence and I feel he’s gonna take us back to that edgy violent guts.
The backgrounds buildings are not as detailed as during Miura's time but the new Kushan design are absolutly stuning. We used to see Kushans as an homogene people. But now we can see how diverse they are. Just like India in our real world.
If Void is really "the key" like Miura said im sure we will get their backstory somewhere along the arc. But if theres no explanation its not like we really need it, we all know the most likely story of Skull Knight being Gaiseric and Void being an old sage that got locked in a tower etc etc
Miura's students giving it their all trying to reach the level of the master is like a manga arc on it's own that seems to bleed into Berserk itself in a subtle way.
As a history geek I see the parallel of Isidro being scared of elephants the same way people must have been scared of Hannibal and his Elephants. To them, they must have been giant monsters with swords and snakes coming out of their faces!
A fairly lengthy chapter with actual dialogue and something interesting happened. Guts looked kinda scuffed but the rest of the characters looking good.
My favorite part of this chapter was the up close panel of Rakshas. It felt like what Miura would have done. It was powerful and full of suspense. This team is doing a great job. 👏
But kushans are not very mongol/turkic but obviously more persian/indian, asked myself why when i was reading i dont know if they ever called it kurultai but i dont think so
This is the first chapter since miura that i feel its like the berserk i know from miura, i hope they were trying to find the good way to do it and hope they found it now and will keep going with it 🎉🎉
lol love your non-edit-edits. Love your review, I personally don’t think (maybe hope?), this isn’t the place of the last battle (for this battle). Guess we’ll find out!
BTW Mr.Miura loved to reference Star Wars, and dude with 3 necks is giving some Big Jabba vibes (wonder if it was based off a draft of an original panel!!) You know what that means for their future….
remember that time when jecht from ffx was drunk and thought an elephant was a monster and fought it and the locals were like what the fuck is your deal because he was a black out drunk when he did it
I’m gonna have to re-read all the koji mori chapters to really get a feel for the pacing. It has felt really fast paced but that could just be from the great amount of chapters we’ve gotten the last 2 years
Guys do you think its possible Rakshas might be similar to Kakuzu from Shippuden? Where each mask would need to be destroyed for him to die? Idk but at least for me that would be a hell of a challenge and a sick fight.
Only for now. He's going through the stages of despair like Griffith did back then in the Golden Age. But knowing Guts, he'll make a different choice than Griffith.
@@user-bz9of6tn6l no I'm talking about how they literally gave him the same pose in one panel as the Yamcha meme where he's lying on the ground in a blast crater
Man I’m really curious how it’s gonna play out if Guts fights Rakshas. He’s an apostle that would likely take a lot of focus to fight, but because Schierke isn’t around the stakes are up if Guts loses control since the moonlight boy isn’t around either.
Is it possible that King Gaiseric could have been Kushan Based off the design of armour/ daiba on horse armor on the nose tip. And silhouette of army could also be kushan Also lion symbolism with both, chair and armor
I like the events that are happening and I think art is good for the most part but I just wished they put a bit more detail into the environment, one of my favorite things about berserk is the attention to detail of these giant settings like falconia, elf island, even the sea god. and I just feel like they coulda used a little more time to draw the detail
I finally caught up to berserk after trying to read it a few times berserk is peak i was missing out on it soo much soo when does the new chapter come out?
Not trying to be a buzzkill, just letting you know that (at least to my knowledge) elephants only do activities like painting after being tortured into learning how.
Felt a bit rushed, if it was Miura it would have taken longer for the mask dude to show up. Come to think about it, this chapter makes it look as if the godhand and the apostles are a european thing, I wonder if Mori is trying to go for a route where there are more divinities other than godhand and the four kings.
Thank you for the shout out brother🫀🫀🫀✍🏻✍🏻 Lmk if you guys have any character requests
The art was insane this chapter. They are getting better and better.
It was impressive, studio gaga is really stepping up their game. Whatever they do after Berserk is guaranteed to at least have great art.
If I came in reading this 2 years ago, I probably wouldn't have known the difference in art
@@patrickzalatoris3206There’s no way you’d know, it’s so close to how Miura drew.
Yeah it was one of the things I found so pleasant was how detailed the drawings were. It was as if Miura himself drew this chapter.
I would love to see and hear from Miura's team that is working on this. They must have had a great relationship.

Kurutltai is the word for council in old Turkish
kurultai is a old turkish word. it means council.

Studio Gaga is stepping up their game!!!! Miura would be happy!!!
That shot of Farnese is beautiful
Backshot?
I’ve always thought what was the point of Magnífico being with the crew, Muria didn’t do things so randomly… it just occurred to me that Magnífico might be the one to use Guts’ behelit
To read a new chapter and then immediately be told we're getting a new one within two weeks time. That's a hell of a feeling
I have a feeling the way guts is gonna kill rakshas is by him firing off his arm Canon right into rakshas face, a call back to how rickert injured him.
awesome way to bring back the black swordsman
I would not be able to keep a straight face if they did Rakshas like that. AGAIN😅
Idk man, why Rakshas appeared hurt? Thats a recent wound, what Rickert did to him happened like years ago. 12:10 The bodybuilder guys were in this volume, shown just standing behind Silat.

We need a backstory arc related to Void and Skull knight. And I hope it's equivalent as the Golden Age arc
But it would be hard to re-create now
and all the other godhand member
Unfortunately we will never get it as Miura envisioned it. There is a great TH-cam channel that has done analysis videos on this topic.
If Void is really "the key" like Miura said im sure we will get their backstory somewhere along the arc. But if theres no explanation its not like we really need it, we all know the most likely story of Skull Knight being Gaiseric and Void being an old sage that got locked in a tower etc etc
No you don't because it would take 20 years and half us will be gone
Miura's students giving it their all trying to reach the level of the master is like a manga arc on it's own that seems to bleed into Berserk itself in a subtle way.
I've been waiting 100.. no 1000 YEARS FOR THIS LET'S GOO
Damn that might be one of the most pissed off faces Guts has ever had in that panel. My man boutta go crazy soon
As a history geek I see the parallel of Isidro being scared of elephants the same way people must have been scared of Hannibal and his Elephants. To them, they must have been giant monsters with swords and snakes coming out of their faces!
I just realized that we haven’t seen Erica yet.

The Kurultai was a Mongol practice; it's cool to see more historical references with the Kuishans.
But kushans are not very mongol/turkic but obviously more persian/indian, asked myself why when i was reading i dont know if they ever called it kurultai but i dont think so
@@umut4316 The Kushans were a historical Central Asian empire so Miura is just incorporating lots of Central Asian symbolism with them.

I can't believe Ryan didn't mentioned Morda ONCE, what happened to you in Canada man????
He changed. Lmao
I was thinking the same lmfaoo, specially since they did a few beautiful panels of her
I can't believe it either, and there I was saving those panels of Morda.
He got laid (unironically, few nights ago)
11:12 also she complimented Farnese and not Morda?? WTF is happening with Ryan
Badass chapter so fking ready for the next soon!
That Intro is still absolute FIRE!
Puck seemingly not recognising Rickert was weird
This is a pretty cool chapter and the art is about in the best level we've had since Miura's passing. Hope it keeps up going this strong
This chapter was excellent! So glad we don't have to wait long for the next one
I love how meaty this chapter was. I cant wait for the next 2 weeks. Which i cant say for the election also being so close.
Plot twist: the behelit belongs to Magnifico....
I literally exhaled out of my nose humorously to the comment
In other words
I “eoomnhttc”d
The new Kushan Emperor seems like an alright dude. Especially compared to the last guy.
Ganishka was the Goat

I’m gonna have to re-read all the koji mori chapters to really get a feel for the pacing. It has felt really fast paced but that could just be from the great amount of chapters we’ve gotten the last 2 years
It's fast paced because they are adapting from what they know of the story and aren't adding their own details

Guts looks like he's aged 4 additional years since Miura's final manuscript. Considering what happened... understandable
Bro is stressing (and wrathful). Can’t wait to see how this plays out
At 13:59ish you repeat yourself saying the same thing twice jus figured I'd lyk! Love your content
1:40 crazy we will never see this adapted 😢
Turns out elephants don't really paint. It was a scam.

Absolutely incredible artwork throughout this chapter. Miura would be proud
The crew needs to be able to takedown a higher ranked apostle and who better than Rakshas.

But can an elephant, in fact, swing around the Dragonslayer?
Th is a are the team questions.
0:02 must be how the Romans felt
What a glorious day to listen to a new berserk chapter
Isidro actually has seen an elephant before in chapter 176 but not a big deal they forgot this
I don't think they forgot, he's probably just surprised to see them casually roaming the streets
I think it is. Also Morda can fly even though they lost their magical powers..major oversights
lol
@@Ladozine They haven't lost all their powers, but has massively decreased, if they lost it, Schierke would not be able to enter the astral world
That confused me I was like didn’t they face off against demon possessed elephants at one point or were those against someone else?

I feel Ganisha was Kushan biggest hope in defeating Griffith. You need evil to defeat evil sometimes.
Dude, he got his ass whooped by Griffith in a fight.
@Bluglojo ,do you think current Kushin has a better chance? It is why I said it was their best chance even though he didn't.
