I was really impressed with it. I just wish I lived a little closer. They have some great produce sales this week but enough sales overall for what my family eats for me to make the trip. Hello fellow NS TH-cam nice to meet you too!
Were you surprised by how small is was?? Lol..I don't think the photos they post do it justice. And yeah..kind of feel like cattle being herded but absolutely worth it, like you said. I plan my meals around gateway sales. We wouldn't survive if I didn't! Lucky to have them around. Thanks for sharing!!!
I was and wasn’t. It definitely feels much smaller when it’s really busy and as I said it’s like a slow bumper cart race around but all very well mannered lol. But yeah it does look larger from their security footage when they show the slow times. Fresh Cuts Meat Market in Bridgewater is a similar type of store and similar in size and setup the same way. I used to go there sometimes when I lived on the south shore. The store is certainly a blessing. I’ll definitely be going back. We don’t eat a lot of red meat so the next round of chicken sales I’ll be going back for sure.
It really does. Some of the items (not all) are close to date so it’s probably overstock and that’s why it can be reduced so much. Grocery stores usually have a like a year out on items. Like the pickles. Normally they would be like 5 dollars a jar but gateway had them for two dollars. But the date on them was either June or September so close to date. But they will be consumed well before then. They are already half gone haha.
If you miss anything, just bypass the cashiers, and loop around again. Gateway actually encourages people to do that. It is a great store, also an hour away for us, but every time we are in the area, we always stop in
awesome deals, it is 2 hrs 2min's from me. There is a store like it, but not as cheap, in Bridgewater NS, only 1 hr drive, costs us $60 gas for the 2 hr trip. tfs neighbor
Gateway rules! Nice to meet another NS youtuber!

O my heavens, that was a good haul. If they can do that, why do the other chain stores charge such high prices....? Makes. you think for sure..

I had no idea you could do that. That’s good to know. Thanks!
Happy Sunday
Happy Sunday to you too!
Went for the first time yesterday
What did you think? I’m sure it was really busy yesterday.

Yes I used to shop at Fresh Cuts in Bridgewater sometimes when I used to live on the south shore. Yeah a 2hr drive is a little bit of a ways to go.
