SM City Baguio is the largest shopping mall in the Northern Luzon
region and the 23rd largest shopping mall in the Philippines. It is a
Cordilleran designed 6 floor mall modelled after the Banaue Rice
Terraces with over 3,000 parking slots and a floor area of 176,073 m2
built on a land area of 80,000 m2. It is located at Luneta Hill on
top of Session Road overlooking the historic Burnham Park and opposite
Baguio's City Hall.
The mall was formally opened on November 21, 2003 and is notably the
first SM Supermall which does not use an air-conditioning system as it
makes use of natural lighting and does not have air conditioning in
common areas. This mall features ample outdoor dining and
recreational space at their Sunset Terraces and Sky Terrace and is
next to a Skyranch Amusement Park.

SM Baguio was used to be the Pines Hotel during my childhood in the 70s and 80s it was destroyed by fire sometime in 1989 and was never rebuilt until the SM Group bought the property in 2002 and transformed into SM City Baguio to what it is today they also have a Pine Tree Nursery which in turn help in the reforestation program for Baguio City.

7 years ago I lived Baguio about 3 months there for learning English. The game area on the top floor were the best places to rest!

I visited the Philippines 2 years ago and went to SM Dasmarinas, another SM mall that I forget and Mall of Asia. While they were all nice nothing compares to the interesting design and layout of SM Baguio. I love all the outdoor terraces and dining areas. Malls in the United States usually have food courts but only a few restaurants. I love how the Philippine malls have so many restaurants. Thanks for a great video. Fan po kasi ako ng roadtrip joyride philippines since I moved here in New Zealand back in 2009. Ang roadtrip joyride video ay libangan yan sa mga taong matagal na nasa abroad na hindi pa nakakabisita sa pilipinas o kahit na nasa pilipinas ka man na halos di ka makalabas ng bahay para pumunta kung saan saang lugar at least may napapanood kang roadtrip joyride online sa bahay.
