In order for the police vehicle's lights to remain on, the keys have to be in the ignition. The lights need to be left on if the vehicle is actively involved in an incident.
Yes. The dude who stole a cop car can be charged with Grand Theft Auto. That is a serious crime. He literally just said what the tank was: an Armored Personnel Carrier. Do you know how fast unpolished/raw wood burns? Very quickly. The wind from him driving so fast was helping it spread quicker.
@ 11:45 When the police are in pursuit of anyone, they automatically assume they're armed. So, an officer putting his or her vehicle in front of a vehicle they're chasing is a bad idea as they can be shot much easier than if they are behind the vehicle. Although, I have seen them do that, its just not a good idea, it is frowned upon and a very poor tactic as it puts the officer in a severe disadvantage.
The APC’s are often used as mobile command posts or troop transport, they usually don’t have many weapons like other tanks, unlike what happened in San Diego in 1995 when someone stole a Patton tank.
It's a semi-tank. The largest weapon is just a 50 cal. In the Army it's called an APC or Armoured Personel Carrier. We had the exact same thing in our motor pool as with most motor pools in the Army. It literally carries soldiers around.
The tractor trailer chase at the end was his breaks from the tires missing and sparking. Trucks and trailers have Hub lube/oil In them. Thats what started the fire. I drive one for a living
7:23 armored personnel carrier, not a tank. To quote TH-camr and ex army soldier ryan Mcbeth, a tank can take a shot from another tank and keep going. The APC definitely can’t do that lol
Even school bus drivers are trained to take the keys and put them in your own pocket whenever you exit your bus.I can't believe that guy stole two cop cars.
We lived in California briefly, maybe eight months, and for entertainment every night after dinner, the whole family would sit on the couch and watch the car chase of the day! Lol. Every single day there was one. Crazy!😂😂😂😂
My daughter lives outside of L.A. and hears the LAPD chopper going over her apt building every single day/night. She lives right next to the freeway so there's aways something going on.
@@RandyStoker1964 It was a big jump for her being raised in a small city in Arkansas all the way to Southern Cali but she fell in love with the place and has lived there 15 years. @@prettybullet7728 Same here. Grew up in a smaller town in Texas. We were outside of the San Diego area when we lived there. We really liked the tiny town that we lived in in California. I literally hand-picked it because I was so afraid to move there and put my kids in the public schools. I researched all the schools outside San Diego and all of the cities by their crime rates and by their schools. I called this one school and asked him if they would accept my children in their school because my research told me it was the best one. I told them that if they would not accept my children from out of area, then we couldn’t move to California and my husband would have to move there by himself. LOL! So the school accepted them from out of district and we made the move. Our tiny town was really nice and beautiful. But I would never have wanted to live in the big cities of Cali.
I am an 80 year old American and I have lived in 14 states as well as in Europe. I have never seen a police chase. I have seen only one riot taking over the streets and buildings and that was in Paris, France.
I live in a small South Dakota town and have never seen police chases either. Although I definitely heard sirens and cars screeching away. It does happen just never "lucky" enough to actually see it.. Just can't imagine the massive city's
If I remember correctly, the little kid was about 7 or 8 years old. My younger brother pulled that same stunt when he was 13 ... and got into a minor fender bender.
11:37 In a lot of states/cities, roadblocks are ILLEGAL. Plus driving out in front of a suspect’s vehicle to block/stop them is HIGHLY risky. You should never do that and it should be left for video games/movies.
When you're on duty and all of the equipment in your patrol car is powered up, (computer, radio, etc), the car battery die very rapidly. Typically, most offers need to leave the car running when they get out.
Newer cop cars are often equipped with a key fob that the driver keeps in his pocket, and if the car gets more than a couple hundred feet from the fob it automatically shuts down.
Pretty sure stealing a police care is at least two felonies. One for car theft. The second for stealing the policeman's long arm (rifle/shotgun) since it's stored in the car.
The amish guy passed out . Nah the horse was fine, he knows where he lives, he has done that trip back n forth loads of times already. The fastest commercial E-Scooter can do just over 90mph. My current e-scooter can do 52mph but yeah there are loads of e-scooters that can run in the 60-70mph range
Mobility scooters are allowed on rods as long as you use the bike lane. When you receive one they explicitly tell you that if you drive on the road, use the bike lane and drive with traffic.
Dude we had an EScooter apparently clocked by politie NL 186 km/h recently this last week, that is 120 mph . I myself tailed a scooter last year at 110_120 kmh. He was riding the fiets pad with a blauwe kentekening. literally within a kilometer from Aviodrome Lelystad richting Almere hout
They do this all the time. They follow a car, whether slow or fast, and all they need to do is box him in and roll to a stop. I think the cops just like police chases. They get to drive fast and have something to talk about at the water cooler. 😂😅

Even here in New England, there are signs at highway entrance ramps : "Pedestrians Bicycles and Horses Prohibited".

Its an armored personel carrier, basically a tank chassis but design to carry troops
In Los Angeles California police chases are the norm.

Trevor fucking Phillips!!!
No one is gonna tell him that in order for police lights to stay on, the engine has to be running? 😂
L3wg made a great point as to why do police leave their keys in the car. I think they should be responsible for that.
No, it's not a "Tank"; it's an "Armored Personnel Carrier".

Most scooters have a top speed written into the control software... but like anything else, software can be hacked.

E scooters max out at maybe 20 miles an hour maybe a touch more. That thing must have been modified.
