that's an unfair assessment. He was just too young and inexperienced. This was probably his first real relationship since HS. He doesn't understand enough about himself let alone how to be a husband. I made the same mistakes at that age with my sweetheart, minus the marriage part. She did the same thing, kept it pushing and got her degree, while I continued on in the Army. As she should've. In hindsight, she was smart for dumping me. I was not ready for primetime, and she was motivated to keep going with her growth. Thank goodness this girl didn't compromise her education. She will be better for it. Maybe sometime down the road they can reconnect after they mature and experience a bit more life. Or, maybe not, and that is ok too.

Yeah some of us aren't Americans and don't know what goes on over there lol. What do the military get when they're married?
You get a housing allowance, basically money for rent based on your rank and the location of your duty station. If you live off base, whatever is left over from paying your rent/bills from that allowance, you keep in your pocket essentially. Also you get to move out of the barracks once you're married.
She's young but you can tell she was willing to give it another shot but because he's so immature and wanting to still mess with other women .. she didn't want to risk looking embarrassed because of that. I don't blame her.

I was 22 and my husband was 21 when we got married. Here were are 15 1/2 years into the marriage and I see how valuable it would have been for me to enjoy those years as as single college graduate bound women. I was in my first year of college when I met my husband. Here we are and I’m just now completing my degree. I’m thankful tho.

The last couple of minutes is all you needed to hear. PS: there are so many comments about this man's mother. This man's mother told him he was too young. If the woman's mother had been around I'm sure she would have told her daughter as well, "you're too young". They were both too young. The best friend was true and honest when she said he was a jerk because his whole demeanor and behavior is jerk like. This generation trips me out. Half of y’all don’t take marriage seriously and treat it likes a game. The other half sees marriage as an end and it’s too much and don’t wanna take on responsibility, but y’all have “shut rings” and kids. This generation has no in between when it comes to marriage. I asked friend why her and her boyfriend of 10 years have never gotten married but they have a seven-year-old together and she told me that she felt that marriage was too much of responsibility and causes problems. How a child easier to deal with than marriage.

My Mom and dad were 24 & 29 when I came along. They had a shot gun wedding but he wasn’t ready for marriage. He liked to party and soon after his Mom passed he became an alcoholic. My mom filed for divorce. He didn’t come around and wasn’t a father to me at all. I didn’t ask to b here . My mom didn’t talk bad about him. I found out the truth at 17...when one of his cousins said right in front of me, “I didn’t know you had a daughter”. At 17, I was hurt. Thank God for my God Father though. Also, Salute to the single fathers out here too. It’s not just us making mistakes out here. There’s plenty of responsibility and accountability to go around. There’s many forms of birth control and vasectomy. We need to make better choices!

I have to disagree with the Beautiful Judge Toler regarding marrying young. If they are adults there is nothing wrong with getting married. I wish my parents encouraged me to marry young. You shouldn't have to make a lot of mistakes and tasting the rainbow sleeping around. Nothing wrong with focusing on one person. We grow everyday as people.

Cre Brown you don’t understand what the Judge is talking about when she says don’t marry young. What she genuinely means is don’t marry TOO young. You haven’t experienced enough of yourself by 21 to be ok with marrying someone else. There are things you have to do alone before inviting someone else into your life for a potential lifetime
Also being single and waiting for a while before marriage doesn’t automatically mean you’re out there making mistakes for the sake of making them. It’s just far less hassle when you do make them. You have the opportunity to rectify them without seriously impacting the life of another person. Sure Marrying young doesn’t mean it’s gonna end up bad, but in some cases it’s far better to be safe than sorry ESPECIALLY In marriage. If you’re able to grow with someone that’s awesome but that’s not the norm anymore
