sawmill can be so handy for so many songs that were actually composed in G. Doesn't work all the time, but it always seems to be worth a try. I love your version of this song. very basic and traditional.

I first saw you on TH-cam doing banjo demos in a music shop. I was deciding what to buy and I sure appreciated the video. Wife and I are watching you now on your own channel. And subscribed btw. I’m so drawn to old time banjo styles and sounds, far more than bluegrass style. I’ve been playing guitar and mandolin for many years and finally decided to give up on my old Framus banjo. Bought a recording King dirty 30s open back and love it. After I had it set up it was a huge gain in my claw hammer attempts. We noticed the instruments hanging behind you and both said that’s cool, looks like our place! She plays several instruments. Then we happened to notice the recurve bow hanging behind you. We both said “ she has bows too! She’s awesome!” Lol. We will be doing a lot of searching on your channel, you’re personality shines through with that smile, so it’s really enjoyable watching you explain things. Hey cool! Yep my husband enjoys bows and got one for me and our daughter too and he made that stand to hold them on. He used pallet wood and I gave him some food coloring to use as dye on the boards. Worked great. And yep I play a bunch of instruments and love it. On the other wall is my mandolin, and hidden is my tenor guitar and more. haha. Well welcome to the channel and thanks for the kind words. And most of all PLAY MUSIC together and have fun.
Hey, just wanted to say thanks for all your video content. I’ve tried learning from a few different TH-cam banjo players and I find you the most patient and helpful. I’m at the very start of my banjo journey, and I’ve watched a hell of a lot of people playing different songs on TH-cam, I do wonder, why do they play so fast? It seems with some people they’re just trying to play as fast as they can? Maybe I’m just jealous because I can’t play fast. Thanks again

You should teach how to teach. You are awesome. I was almost to this point in the song when I found Banjo Ben. Two minutes in on his video and I couldn't even hum the melody he had me so confused.
