- Car spotting luxury vehicles in London during December 2023. In this compilation, you will see many of the fanciest and luxurious utility vehicles that roam over the streets of the British capital. London's car scene is full as always of luxury cars, such as many Rolls-Royce(s), Bentley(s), Maybach, but also many classic vehicles. New, less recent, or old, these models show all their beauty to the people who pass by. In this compilation you will find many special and rare cars, such as the new fully electric Rolls-Royce Spectre, and also some stunning registration plates, that in some cases can cost more of the car that they are registered on. Unfortunately, I don't know all the models with the exact specifications on it as I'm more knowledgeable on sport cars at the moment, so I won't do the timestamps with the actual names of the cars, however if you'll have attentive eyes, you will notice that each car is unique, from the paint to the wheels (and this is only from the exterior point of view, in fact the interiors are often much more complex and curated, with unlimited options). London has always been the place for luxury cars! So many avid fans of the UK tax havens and other financial skullduggery
In the UK in general there are so many more expensive cars than many other countries in Europe. Taxation is more "rich friendly" than other places.

@@chiefchief306I've never been there. However there are Russian, American and Saudi investors in London, and they move around the city. Bare in mind that in London there are 7 football clubs that play in the first English division, plus the owners, companies of any kind with many headquarters, Arab investments and possessions such as Harrods, multiple skyscrapers and various hotels, BBC headquarters and numerous cinematic studios, famous world renewed activities from restaurants to fashion etc... Plus many famous people living around. London is expensive so either you're a multi-millionaire/billionaire to live well in the centre, or you are a millionaire to live well in the Metropolitan area, or you're probably a student or worker that live in a shared house and pays attention to every penny to pay the bills 🙋♂️
Whatever is your status/position, the cool thing is that it's plenty of opportunities to do what you like as a job
Ironically some of the number plates are worth more than the cars.

In the UK we turn a blind eye to money laundering.... That's why we have so many foreign ownership of 1st division football teams.... Theres more dirty money flowing through London than any other city on the planet...

@@STANLIZ4there are still great classic cars in London, and not only in the centre which is nice. And of course when they show off on the streets they get all the attentions. I saw also a 1952 Jaguar C-Type just few weeks ago, and a Jaguar E-Type the last summer. But also in the Metropolitan area there are many classic cars owners of any brand 😍
I wonder if they ever get out of 1st gear?
In London your car doesnt pass the MOT if it has more than 2 gears 😂

Can’t believe some of the drivers behind the wheel of these expensive vehicles are displaying some shocking motoring skills and lack of road craft..
Some of them are probably just bored as hell driving in those busy roads at such a slow pace 😂

What camera do youy use?
I recorded and edited this video entirely with my Huawei p30 pro. In the meantime I'm learning to use Davinci Resolve and as soon as I'll have some money I'll purchase a good camera

I think it's one of the best, I prefer it multicolour than in a common mono-black.
Absolute waste of money owning high performance cars in London. Max speed 20mph if you're lucky. Good thing about living in the countryside is I can do 80mph daily on my commute to work. Getting stuck in slow moving traffic all the time must be depressing for you Londoners.
Probably that's why many rich people have these luxurious and comfortable vehicles to drive or be driven in. Different for sure from the rest of us, they can relax in their luxurious cars even when stuck in traffic, maybe with a back massage from the seat and some other fancy stuff 😂 I mainly use the bycicle to move and I'm glad that many cycling paths were created in the past years, because I really think that moving by bycicle and more use of public transport can be a great solution especially for younger generations in the future of big metropolis, to reduce smog, brightening the day by moving a little and avoiding to be stuck in absurd traffic jams. On the contrary, many roads are smaller now so traffic is even more intense 😑
I wonder how much that S 600 number plate cost?
It's a good question. I don't have the exact number but I can say that seen the market of registration plates, it must cost a fortune. I know that for many it can be baffling, but the most expensive plate ever sold in the UK (25 0) has been acquired for £518,480. And the second (XI) was sold for half million pounds too in 2012, but today has an estimated value of £1,000,000. Due to the fact that the S 600 plate has the same name of the Mercedes-Maybach luxurious model, I guess that it's worth easily over 100k. It may be 200k, it may be 300k or even more, but I didn't find any actual confirmed transaction of this plate when searching online.
@@capitalcarslondon are all plates in the UK random, or as here in the States you can order "vanity" plates when registering your vehicle in your home state for less than $100.
@@williamlondon6269in here you can buy personalised plates from DVLA which is the official licencing agency, or private resellers. Those plates are sold either directly or with DVLA also through auctions at a starting price of £140. However there's always plenty of people at those auctions and the price often pass the £100k for exclusive plates. Number 1 is the most desired and exclusive, and the less number of carachters the plate has, the more it costs, although they can be very expensive even those with many digits if they contains "wanted" characters/digits. Crazy enough, you can find plates of 5 digits or even more listed at £300k+ on private online reseller platforms and shops in the city. And some of those plates that I've seen at that price point are even quite standard compared to many that I've seen around.
The only thing I see as a Dane, is a lot of old cars in a run down City...

But... Don't you really like those older cars? For my personal taste they look more interesting than many new cars of the same category.
Ps. At min. 1:03 I give a snapshot of the Senna, the GT and the Pista parked just next to the new Maybach passing by. I haven't travelled much around the world, but the fact that in one night only I can see multiple Bugatti and other Hypercars in the middle of dozens new luxury cars it's quite wild to me.
