Also if IGN did their research the game by default comes with Immerse Audio universal profile for free it's only if you wanna customize everything that you need to pay. What the devs have done is incorporated an API into the audio pipeline of their game that allows gamers to use a third party audio plugin. Yes, it's third party so you need to pay a subscription. There is nothing unusual or unfair about this at all. If you want to use Dolby atmos on pc, you have to pay for that too. If you want 4k Netflix you pay for that. If you want an elite controller, you pay for that (even though that's still first party) Now, if you want to complain that it gives subscribers an unfair audio advantage you mightve been remiss to learn that audio quality is by far the most variable thing across a player network, and will likely only affect a small proportion of players. It's not a big deal, but I guess it's something for content creators yo whinge about for clicks. Chill out everyone...
