First time i heard the The Psychedelic Furs was in the Pretty in Pink movie. Started listening other songs and they had a lot of good material.

The Psych Furs are so good! They have such a great sound. The hit John Hughes movie, "Pretty In Pink" got its name from their song of the same name. In fact, they re-recorded the song for the film's soundtrack. Both the original version and the soundtrack version are good, and you might want to check it out!

3 Furs songs? Oh my, you're spoiling me! I saw them live when they were at their peak, just after Mirror Moves came out at Canada's Wonderland.WHAT A GREAT SHOW! Richard Butler the lead singer really knew how to play the audience, he was dancing just like in this video across the stage. Sound was FANTASTIC. They really lived up to my expectations! Now THAT was a great memory.
Never judge a band by the name. I saw the Furs live in 1985 and it was a great, fun show.

The lyrics you read were "Theirs emptiness behind their eyes and LUST (not dust) in all their hearts". I read about this song and what it means. Richard Butler the singer wrote it "for people that find out they are gay and how they are treated in society, the society back then being very rejecting towards gay people".. I absolutely loved Butler's raspy voice and his very strong English accent, very very unique.
Yes this Song addresses how Gays were treated by Society back then for being who they are and who they loved. Great song even if the message isn't pleasant.
This song came out in 1982. The core of the Psychedlic Furs was Richard and Tim Butler and John Ashton. Vince Ely is also in this video. John Ashton left the Furs around 1992 but still performs with them from time to time.
Always one of my fav 80's songs. It makes me think of the movie Call Me By Your Name now when I hear it. Especially when they sing there is a army, Armiee, on the dance floor lol.
I saw them live last night in Cambridge, UK. They absolutely smashed it. Richard Butler's voice has not changed a bit since I first heard them 42 years ago.

I had a cassette of the "Forever Now" album and I used to play it to death when I was a kid. "Pretty In Pink", "The Ghost In You", "Sister Europe" also great songs.

I don’t think anyone then or now sings like Richard Butler. Like a raspier David Bowie. “Love My way” still gets my attention but the title track “Forever Now” is my favorite bar none.
It really is a good song to listen to. First time hearing the chorus it was like a song to travel to. The lead singer reminds me of David Bowie.
Wasn’t successful in the UK though which was a shame as it is real good song!

Butler said in creeme magazine it is about gay love and the tribulations and not taking society rules just go with the flow.

You know what’s crazy today my Son and I were watching the 80’s classic movie “pretty in pink” with molly ringwald and I couldn’t think whose song it was in the movie title and then I looked it up and it’s the furs other hit song that I always liked so if you get a chance react to that song too pretty in pink

My Song for who I am
I really liked this song, though I am a more Rock and County guy. I a kind David Bowie like sound to it, which a lot of British bands seemed to have at the time did. Not that that's a bad thing, just something I noticed growing up in that area.

Different=80's New Wave lolol "Ghost in You" is another goodie by them K.S.O. It's funny you used the word different, where i live the New Wave station that played this music had as their motto "Dare to be Different" (there is a documentary movie by that name, of that small radio station that sadly is no more)
Ghost in You is one of the best New Wave songs of the 80s along with "Just Like Heaven" by the Cure.
