- I missed out on Zhanjiang during my Guangdong bike tour and now I am back in Guangdong and finally hitting this ~legendary~ destination! 😛It was a cold ugly day but we weren't there for scenery: we were there to Chat with locals, and we were fortunate to run into quite a few chatty people! Totally agree, it is great to see children playing outside not attached to their devices. When children are outside they can work on many different play skills and the natural movement keeps them healthy. Really enjoyed the video!

Oh, I love those barbequed oysters. It was very cold in Guangdong in the 2nd half of Feb. for 1 week, because of cold air from the north. Now it is much warmer now, above 20 degrees Celcius.

yeah, it was almost down to zero in some places, very rare for our parts. and then today's high was 22.4C and i'm back in short sleeves, sweating in the sun...

FYI in China, Kids aged over the age of eight but under that of 16 can use their phone for no more than one hour per day. Those aged between 16 and 17 can use a handset for a maximum of two hours. A handset should not provide any services to children from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. of the next day, according to the draft regulations. Some people from the West may screen "Violation of freedom! 😂".

English subtitles are a bit small unlike your other vlogs. Loved your interaction with the kids and letting them film and show off. The first American thought is ... Where are their parents? Danger stranger. But gladly not in China.

Not Katherine here but Guangdong is the province where the cities of Zhanjiang, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen is located in. The former name is Canton (though some say that Canton refers to the city of Guangzhou).

After hearing/seeing a lot of nonsense going on in the World news lately.... it is refreshing to see these travel videos that show places I've never been to. I have traveled to China before, but not to most of these cities shown in your videos. With the on-going travel restrictions... it might be awhile before I can further visit China or other countries, so videos such as the ones you post will be my only way to "travel" for now.

Interesting to see the 'other side of the water', looks very much like our side. Breakfast looked amazing, I've never had that sort of choice, at least not yet. The children were a good advert for GoPro, the stabilisation was excellent. Finally, oysters! I believe the western way of eating them is just to let them slide down without chewing. That seems wrong to me so I chew them too, sometimes only one! Nice video, as always.

I grew up in Zhanjiang and finished my high school there when I left for college in Nanjing. My parents were not really locals there but still it's sort of my hometown. The seafood there is great and the locals are very good at cooking. Love to visit there again.
