Worshiping the Ankh as a God would be considered Idol worship. Praising and giving thanks to the symbol as an All Mighty being is Idol worship.
Wearing the Ankh because the meaning ascribed to it resonates with the individual as a standard or a virtue to live by isn’t worship. It’s a symbol, that when worn, reminds you to live by it that standard or virtue.
If our people are to unite, having a symbol that represents what we as a people should be aiming to achieve, the highest unity between man, woman and child is not a “symbol of the devil.” The devil is against creation, so why would it have a symbol that represents the exact thing that it is against?
There is a difference between worship and reverence. As long as all faith isn’t given to the symbol, rather the symbol is being used as a reminder of the power of the source and not the source itself, it is not “Idol Worship”

A lot of people know from their engagement of the ankh that it is for them. To each their own. I have ankhs on my walls and have never had a nightmare or any feeling of demonic spirits.

I would like to say a bit more for posterity here. I grew up going to church and my grandmother was a penticostal minister and devoted Christian. I was being taught the scriptures before I was able to even understand it. I would much later on become drawn to the teachings of Rasta, which has resonated with me much more.
After studying pre-sixteenth century African history, and learning from an African teacher, this opened my eyes to some pertinent information. From the biblical accounts, nothing was good about Africa. I am now able to understand why that was so...the bible was also written at a time when African people were victimized, and it was written by the conquerors during a very militaristic period.
These conquerors redefined Africa, wrote their version of history whilst they did not adequately understood about Africa. These same people, upon invading Africa, they did everything to mimic the greatness that they saw there in order to become as empowered. They became pharaohs against the will and principles of the land. They plagiarized and learned as much as they could, then monopolized the information, destroyed as much of the sources, and basically ravaged especially northern Africa.
These conquerors were the self appointees and so-called bringers of new light, civilization and culture. They are the ones whom has influenced the world with a new paradigm and more specifically a new covenant as pertaining to the bible they translated.
Now if we pause for a moment to think on this bible, how many of us would have been able to decipher the linguistic content of the original scrolls if it was not translated to a language we are able to understand?
Now the next few questions are, who were the Greeks? Were they inspired men of God? And also, who was King James? Did he take a page out of the Greco-Romans play book? Britain went on to colonized and conquered much of the world for themselves after spreading Christianity, via crusaders and missionaries.
Those who branched away are whom we refer to as protestants... Christianity matricualed to where it now substantiate for being the one and only "true" religion. Hence you can denote the politics that religion was in the ancient world...there was no politics then as we do now. When the first set of Europeans set foot in Ghana, Africa, they immediately taught Sunday school in order to get rid of the prevailing Muslim influence. Their religious practice then was not in the business nor interest of saving souls.
Don't get me wrong, I am not going this far to negate any belief about a god nor am I advocating that we should not strive to live in love and harmony. Living a life of good is exemplary and great for our existential continuity. I am pointing out the fact that we the African people throughout the diaspora has been greatly disconnected from our ancestral past.
We have been influenced and cultured within a paradigm of belief. We have been brainwashed. We are out of our own minds, seeing through the lens of those who have colonized history, religion, and also our people. It was Winston Churchill of Great Britain who once said, "history shall be kind to Great Britain because I am going to write it"... let that sink in.
The surest way to destroy any group of people is to remove or suppress their history. There is no coincidence with who is at the helm of the world nor who is at the bottom of the economic scale. That dynamic must be understood. And most of all, life is more about understanding rather than belief.
They never denied us schooling for no reason. If they had taught us to know and developed comprehensive skills, that would not be conducive for our subservience and docility. The Cross and Ankh are similar in symbolism but they are NOT the same. Ankh symbolises LIFE, whilst the Cross is the Sign of Salvation. Salvation means to be saved, to be saved means to have LIFE. The gift of JAH is life (a.k.a, Salvation) and the wages of sin is death.
Personally, I have NEVER been drawn to the Ankh, but I note that many people who are embracing their spiritual awakening like to display the Ankh, as it simply shows that they are getting involved with ancient ideas/ideologies/spirituality etc (Even if the bearers of the Ankh don't really know or overstand the Ankh!)
That said, the Cross is the ULTIMATE and that explains why Ethiopians have MANY VARIATIONS OF THE CROSS (MESKEL). The type of Cross that Mr Singh was wearing is a very powerful Cross, as it displays the head of the 12 Patriarchs, 12 Twelve Tribes and Twelve Disciples around the top sides, and on the top of the Cross pendant. It represents the House of "Tewahedo". The Cross is the sign of Salvation and it was used 3x in the Old Testament, in the days of Moses. (there may have been more uses of the Cross in the Old Testament, but I only know of THREE instances where the "Cross" was used in the old Testament). To strike the rock twice means to "make the sign of the cross" with his rod, for the miracle. 3rd use of the Cross in the Old Testament was the night of passover when Israelites were to kill a lamb and mark their door posts (both sides and the top = Sign of Cross) with the blood of the lamb, to be saved. In Ethiopia, there's a Holy church that was carved out of solid rock in the shape of a Cross. And King Selassie I always wore a Cross as a Child...

I am here watching this because last night I had a dream and in my dream I looked up to the sky on one side of the sky I saw two muscular angels with smaller wings, over to the side of them in the clouds I saw JESUS in a robe and a sash! and beside me ,here on earth was a group of people praying or chanting I’m not sure what they were doing, but they had a cross with a loop on it.
