What I really like in k-on is the ending. no spoilers They knew that to end a show like k-on is especially hard due that you grow to the characters after two seasons. So unlike so many shows, k-on is really soft with it's ending. Even the show worn us a few episodes before the last one that it's all gonna end soon with the girls graduating. But the show is keep going on with a few episodes after that happens and with that it makes the ending more like a "See you later" than a "Goodbye". And the movie doing the same too. And speaking of endings. The EDs are simply awesome. I'm still listening to HTT after all these years
Im rewatching the series currently, and I learnt that, basically the whole of season 2 acts as a set up for the end. The way they foreshadow graduation, Azusa feeling more and more left out as the show progresses. Yoou can see this in episode one where Azusa tries to recruit members for HTT as preperation for the next year. In episode 13, where Azusa hangs out with Ui and Jun. At the end of the episode, Azusa is feeling even more lost than at the start of the series, which is showcased when Yui offers to take Azusa to see the fireworks. Azusa refused, stating that shes "fine" but Yui grabs her hand and takes her anyway. She has an inner monologue which tells us that she was actually feeling alienated, like she isnt apart of the real HTT. It even has an incredible metaphor at the end where Yui runs into the crowd, Azusa losing her grip on Yui. That probably referenced the way Azusa was feeling about them graduating. This is only one example of the many different types of set ups that K-on had in preparation for the end. Thats probably one big reason as to why that ending hit so well.
K-on is a story about nothing, but it's also not. K-on left me attached, but at the same time taught me to let go. K-on is a fun break from reality, but it's also incredibly realistic in a serious manner. K-on makes me really happy, but it also makes me really sad.
Wonderful, I dont see much people learning the messages in K-on, since they usually think is a simple anime, about just cute girls doing cute things.... Also, having the first song of HTT at the end is awesome.
Also, if you love characters, directions, soundtracks or overall cinematography of K-On, you need to watch A Place Further than the Universe. Easily one of the best anime of 2018
A Place Further than the Universe is the one anime I think is better than K-ON. It was very hard for me to admit it and accept it, because of how special K-ON is too me, but YoriMori is the best anime in existence.
I remember me and 4 of my friends, all 20s old guy, getting really emotional watching the last episode, where they just sit and wonder if they could do everything they've been through high school together again...and with that music, damn...
i feel slice of life animes are sometimes overlooked due to their simplicity but not every anime needs a hero and villain with an epic show down sometimes seeing someone live their life is all you need you feel like you get to know these characters as if youre in the room with them and that takes talent to pull off
K-On is the reason Aliens spared us. They gave us 2,500,000 years as a species to prove that we can make something great. As soon as our time was running out, a young Major of the Alien fleet saw a broadcast of Yui calling Azusa, Azunyan. The Alien Major was amazed of the divine sight he was blessed with. He ran to the Brigadier General to tell him that humans are cable of more than just Pepa the Pig. The Brigadier General as soon as he saw the scene he send a signal to the General of the Armies with the Title: ''MUST WATCH URGENT''. The General of the Armies saw it, stopped the attack on our solar system and binge watched the show in the Timer Chamber. Then he recommended it to the Alien Emperor. The Alien Emperor then sat down, watched all episodes of K-On, all OVA, the movie, bought all the Manga and merchandise and made K-On the official show of the Universe. All Alien artists were ashamed that in the millions of years of their existence never produced anything that could be called as good as ''K-On but a million times worse'' or their works were trillions of times and even less, lesser than K-On. Most of them abandoned their careers as they could never reach K-On levels. Since then with Imperial decree the Alien Emperor said: ''Earth Shall Be spared. Maybe.... maybe humans one day will bless us with a third season!''. Right after he said that the Emperor retired as he had enjoyed all pleasure the universe had to offer. He has now fallen into a deep slumber waiting for season 3 . Only when this and if it happens he shall resume his duties as there is nothing more for him here. In his sleep he wears ear pieces to hear K-on songs for all eternity until the next season is made. Until then his son, the Prince Regale leads the Alien Empire as a temporary Emperor.

As a person with social anxiety, this show really understands and portrays it realistically with Mio so i relate to her a lot and inspired me to overcome it too. K-On is my most favorite anime because I've literally never smiled and related this much before compared to watching other shows.. it's saving me from sadness lol
Found K-on! the other day while searching for something light to get me out of a bad mood, and I've got to say it definitely did that in a bittersweet way. It was wonderfully happy but at the same time there's the element bittersweetness in how quickly their 3 years pass, much like how quickly life can pass by your own eyes. I never considered I'd be interested in such a show, but this was a wonderful, genuine experience

For me this anime is perfection, i started it like a year ago or so, because i subscribed a anime streaming plattform for 2 animes, watched them and was like "ouh, so i payed for this for a month, it would be waisted to don't use it and watch one or two exclusives". So i scrolled though their catalog and found K-ON, i allready one or two clips of it and so i gave it a chance. i expected nothing special, just a series i can watch and have a bit fun. But i got literally everything, i loved the art-style from the first second on, also i loved the whole comedy part and the interactions between the 4 / 5 girls, i loved the music, at the start especially the first ending, i was like "this anime is 10 years old? Why the heck does it have such a nice animated ending theme with such a catchy song" long story short, i watched the whole ending in two long sessions on a weekend. And as i finished the last non bonus episode from the second season, i where a fckng wreck, it was one of the rare moments, that i felt into tears because of an anime. long story short, i love this anime till this day, i hear the music of it nearly every day, since i am studying japanese i can sing every song of the anime, this is just my favourite anime. Also it is just so nice to see, how big and nice the community about this anime still after 12 years is.

what I realised bout k-on now older, how k-on went was exactly how life works and how we remember things, we can't remember everything mostly bc not everything is notable enough. The eps were just that the most rememberable days in our lives
This show was just FUN to watcn. It was one of the funniest ive seen since comedy comes form interaction and not slapsticks and etc. How it portraits life like you said is incredibly real and it had so many relatable moments that motivated me to do better in some areas especially in school. And i think 1st episode of 2nd season REALLY gets the tone well. While youre done with 1st season you dont think much of the fact that they gotta graduate at some point leaving Azusa behind, but its the theme of first episode, and as you get closer to end the show that motive becomes bigger and bigger with emotional climax where i dropped a tear or two (Song for Azusa, lyrics are just beautiful). It beacme one of my favorite anime shows and plan to rewatch it sometime. And when i do "Once again, school festival" is going to break me. I didnt cry but it was incredibly sad and SO real that i dont think i will be able to survive it on seond viewing. Great video and keep up!
Nisekoi is personally one of my favorite animes of all time. It took me out of all the action drama suspense shows that I was used to. Really recommend it but it stops at season 2 but the manga goes past that and it’s actually finished already

That clip at 7:40 or so, it was foreshadowing about the lyrics Mio mailed to Ritsu. The lyrics Ritsu mistook as a love letter. The letter was a significant focus for her this episode. Foreshadowing isn't always essential, but that does not mean you should neglect it. My point here is that the clip does not serve as an example as a random touch that was appreciated even though it wasn't needed. Ritsu was made to go out and check the mail just so you could see her take an extra peek into the box for more. Because story
Holly shait! 10 years? K-on was one of the first animu that I followed while airing. At the time everyone told it’s dumb moe shait, but I loved the vibe of it. I am glad that in recent years people are starting apritiate Yamada and K-ON.

It's been my number one anime since I've first seen it and I don't think it will ever not be (unless berserk has an anime that lives up to the manga and that's only a maybe). It's forever goated
what Yamada did with K-ON! is beyond great. If you read the original K-ON! manga you may find out that is pretty bland and boring. The art is bearly good, the jokes don`t land well and the girls`s personalities are a bit different from the show. Yamada took all that away and make this incredible anime.
I got really ticked off at one of my friends because they called k-on crap then turning it off to watch sekirei (however you spell it) and I don't know why but that made me feel really disappointed in them. I feel k-on has a lot better writing and presentation and it makes me angry people would just dismiss something without even trying to watch it.

By the way I watched Ant-Man and the WASP again on Netflix last night and I actually enjoyed it more the second time. A lot of shows shove in relatable moments to characters so audience can feel more empathy. Altho it usualy bad, it can feel forced to some degree if not donr corectly or if its all of a sudden. K-On! did this perfectly since it portrays life as it is. Lives of the girls in the anime are probbably bit more exciting than completly normal (or maybe thats just for loser me) but the fact that its portrayed as something not unreachable creates those relatable moments naturaly without it being foced. Today i finnished rewatching the show. Episode 20 and 24 made me cry... its really sad and executed masterfully.
Since you liked K-On, i may reccomend an anime that mostly have the same direction and theme as K-On - Beck:Mongolion Chop Squad. Beck differ from K-On in the aspect that it's more of "teenager that want to start a band" than "the life of teenager in the musical club" but it does exactly what K-On did.

Nisekoi is personally one of my favorite animes of all time. It took me out of all the action drama suspense shows that I was used to. Really recommend it but it stops at season 2 but the manga goes past that and it’s actually finished already

It was my big sister who recommended me this anime, and this is the first anime that made me cry when I was in elementary and wondering what’s the life of being a high schooler, and now I’m in university and feels like I want to go back in elementary
That clip at 7:40 or so, it was foreshadowing about the lyrics Mio mailed to Ritsu. The lyrics Ritsu mistook as a love letter. The letter was a significant focus for her this episode. Foreshadowing isn't always essential, but that does not mean you should neglect it. My point here is that the clip does not serve as an example as a random touch that was appreciated even though it wasn't needed. Ritsu was made to go out and check the mail just so you could see her take an extra peek into the box for more. Because story

K-on was one of the first animu that I followed while airing. At the time everyone told it’s dumb moe shait, but I loved the vibe of it. I am glad that in recent years people are starting apritiate Yamada and K-ON.

what Yamada did with K-ON! is beyond great. If you read the original K-ON! manga you may find out that is pretty bland and boring. The art is bearly good, the jokes don`t land well and the girls`s personalities are a bit different from the show. Yamada took all that away and make this incredible anime.
I got really ticked off at one of my friends because they called k-on crap then turning it off to watch sekirei (however you spell it) and I don't know why but that made me feel really disappointed in them. I feel k-on has a lot better writing and presentation and it makes me angry people would just dismiss something without even trying to watch it.

A lot of shows shove in relatable moments to characters so audience can feel more empathy. Altho it usualy bad, it can feel forced to some degree if not donr corectly or if its all of a sudden. K-On! did this perfectly since it portrays life as it is. Lives of the girls in the anime are probbably bit more exciting than completly normal (or maybe thats just for loser me) but the fact that its portrayed as something not unreachable creates those relatable moments naturaly without it being foced.
Today i finnished rewatching the show. Episode 20 and 24 made me cry... its really sad and executed masterfully.

Since you liked K-On, i may reccomend an anime that mostly have the same direction and theme as K-On - Beck:Mongolion Chop Squad.
Beck differ from K-On in the aspect that it's more of "teenager that want to start a band" than "the life of teenager in the musical club" but it does exactly what K-On did.
