Explanation thingy?: Steve had been purposely putting himself in dangerous situations just to save his family because they live in a world of monsters and humans but both humans and monsters hate vampires and want them extinct. Thats why Steve is sacrificing himself. Soon enough Jess finds out. Jess is mad at Steve because not only was Steve doing dangerous things but he was also coughing up blood, going deaf, etc. Hes very ill. So Jess starts to shout at Steve so much that Steve started to cry and yes it is very rare to see Steve showing any type of emotion except from grumpy, annoyed and angry. Thats basically it :)
