It's interesting that the rest of the gang has been friends with Chandler for much longer than Rachel and she is the only one to remember his birthday. Really, Rachel can sometimes be... well, herself, but she really is a great friend when it matters. And her friendship with Chandler is so underrated.
Rachel and Chandler are my favorite side friendship storylines. The episode where he sets her up for a date after her breakup with Ross was so sweet and funny. And of course the iconic, 🍰 episode 😂😂
One of my favorite episodes is the one with the cheesecakes. Rachel and Chandler are hilarious.
I think everybody focus so much on Rachel’s birth day they forgot Chandler was actually next 😂 even Chandler didn’t say anything
Honestly Oscar, I've seen Friends so many times but it's the highlight of my week watching it with you. 😂

Honestly, Mr. Zellner is a VERY patient and fair man 😂 And Chandler is so sweet when he's not freaking out over commitment issues! Also, if you didn't realise, the carbon cut-outs of Monica and Rachel are named after Pamela Anderson and Yasmine Bleeth from Baywatch.

You would have seen Chandler smoke before. He started up again after Ross & Rachel were fighting.
There was the one episode where they were stuck out in the snow at a rest stop after Phoebe's Taxi wouldn't open/start. Chandler was smoking throughout that episode.
Then there was the episode where Chandler tries a hypnotherapy tape to quit but the subliminals made him feel like a "strong confident woman who doesn't need to smoke"

You talking about David Schwimmer comedy timing reminded me of the time in 2018 when CCTV footage of someone stealing from a store in the UK went viral because the thief looked exactly like David Schwimmer. Ha ha ha, David played along with the joke even promising he was in New York at the time so he had an alibi.

Yeah. People who never have smoked say it smells terrible. And it's true that while smoking you lose a lot of sensitivity to it. But if you were a smoker and quit... that smell can really actually smell good. I'd know, I've been an on and off smoker for the last 10 years lol. I'll smoke for a few weeks, then get myself to stop for like 4-6 months, and then the craving will be super strong, and after a particularly bad day of work it's super tempting, and if things line up I'll find myself getting a pack the next time I get gas.
@@Galiant2010 I'm not a smoker, only have a cigarette every once in a while (mostly if I want to get drunk, since I have really high tolerance and tobacco + alcohol is like a shortcut to tipsy lmao), but I also think it smells really good. always have! it's similar to the smell of gasoline or glue in that it's obviously bad for you, but damn... it does smell good 😅
"And, we're back"~Chandler after Monica freaks out about the status of their relationship versus Pheobe's. I love how Chandler is actually very much aware of how he has grown and his personal interpretations of the situation gives Monica the sense of progression in their relationship. This was a golden moment of vulnerability for both!

I miss Matthew Perry so much he was so good nobody else could ever play Chandler like he did.
In Mexico we say hello and goodbye with a kiss on the cheek. Though more professional to just give a handshake on a job interview, it wouldn't be such a bad thing. 😅
It's interesting that this is so common in other cultures. To me, a kiss on the cheek is far too intimate to do with just anyone. Especially someone you just met.

Before this there are been two/three times we've seen Chandler smoke:
• In 1x03, Joey has a role that involves smoking, so he asks Chandler to show him how. Chandler smokes for the rest of the episode until Phoebe pays him to stop.
• In 3x17-18, he starts smoking after Ross and Rachel break up (to deal with the stress and because it reminds him of his parents' divorce, when he first started smoking). He uses hypnosis tapes to quit.
my dad finally quit smoking when I was 14, and then in my late 20s, I asked him if he ever missed it. His response was, "Every d*mn day."
Friends is a timeless SitCom. Ill never understand how people cant find it funny, but, they do them.
I love what Chandler said to Monica. It's so sweet and is how I feel, too. :D They are one of my favorite couple inspirations lol

Another great reaction. :) Smoking is a big no no for me (I've tried and I vomitted :D)...had to work for 9 years among my ALL smoking colleagues and boss. Used to come back home and even my underwear would smell, because my boss was the only one who was allowed to smoke in her office... And no, Rachel, I wouldn't even have started smoking it to please my boss :D
I used to smoke 30 cigarettes a day, in the end I could not run on the bus without breaking in two because of coughing. I quit. My boyfriend still smoking. He stinks. And now I realise that I probabily stunk all the time like he does! A few months after quitting people asked me: "Wow, what did you put on your skin, it look beautiful!" so you see: You do it right, AND: I admire you, because you never began with that stupid thing
@@brezzainvernale I'm glad you quit. It's probably difficult not to relapse. :) For me, it was easy not to continue. The smell alone is preventing me from smoking.
I feel your pain. My relatives almost all smoked back when I was a kid (many still do, if they are alive). We would go to my grandmother's apartment, and the smoke would just be hanging in the air. It was so thick. The walls were a dingy yellow. We would all rush to bathe when we got home. I absolutely hated it and still worry that it will catch up to me someday from all the secondhand exposure.
Fun fact! The twins who portray Ben (twins are used for legal issues about time on set/in front of camera for infants/toddlers) actually are the two who become the stars on The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. 🥰🤩

His dad is gay, that was the joke. Most 90's sitcoms considered being gay as something to laugh about.

hi, I have a suggestion for a film for you to react to, the film is "Minha mãe é uma peça" in English the name is "My mom is a character", It's one of the best Brazilian films, alongside "Tropa de Elite", "Central do Brasil" and a few other very good films, but I recommend watching it with subtitles, as there are several jokes they won't make sense dubbed, because they lose the timing, I hope that watch, a hug from Brazil thanks

You know each of them in the friends group have their many flaws but i see that Rachel and from other viewers and the ones in comments,not you,are so easily hating on Rachel which is annoying and makes no sense like just cus she from a rich family like really.

I tried to get into that series a few times and I just couldn't do it. I love a lot of the actors in the show but I just didn't enjoy it.

It’s even more taboo nowadays than back then. Many workplaces won’t even allow you to smoke on the premises, even outside.
The majority of hospitals in my state have a policy of not only drug testing their employees but they are now tested for nicotine. If they fail the nicotine testing they are subject to the same punishments as people that tested positive for drugs.
