Why not use fabric-tack glue or iron on stitch witchery? They are both permanent and washable, too.😊

Why not? Simply because, as the op points out this is a pretty awesome hack if there’s nothing else available and the video only shows a hack not for someone to run out to the store to buy a certain fabric glue or iron on stitch witchery product when this is a mere egg white hack with much better results than messy glue, the iron fused it up in no time, it ended up looking perfect, the glue couldn’t have achieved this look 😅

Once you open the shell, you have to use that egg or discard it. If you're going to do something like this, just crack it open to cook and use the egg white residue in the shell.

@@Elena7GoldИмеется ввиду вещи склеенные таким способом. Автор написал об этом в ответе на комментарий выше. Это экспресс способ если у вас не оказалось клея.
@@user-op2ju2go9o Николай, это я как раз-то поняла, что следует из моего основного комментария! А ответила человеку, который считает, что такие вещи не стирают! Всё правильно, что это временная мера, но стирать-то всё равно когда-нибудь придётся, не ходить же в грязном!

I'm always impressed when I see a hack that actually works that most people have never heard of. Sure, we can run to the store & buy more stuff, but why not use our imaginations a little more often!!
First time it gets washed it comes unglued and may fray.

It does not! Or in heavy rain. Bit of a pointless fix.
Tho maybe would stop it getting worse for a day or two if you absolutely have to wear it before getting to a shop/next day delivery ...and happen to have a scrap of the right kind of fabric. ... And an egg!

I would have soaked the little piece of fabric in the eggs whites then put it in.
It would have glued to the other side of the sleeve also if you did that

Would the egg white go bad and smell like rotten egg? If it's a fix in a pinch, I'll still need an egg, a patch, Q-Tip, and an iron. A thin layer of clear nail polish over the tear works well, too. If this is meant to be an egg hack, sure why not.
So what happens when you need to wash the jacket? Egg whites aren't permanent.

I had a 4yr old tell me hed broke something and wouldn't tell what it was. Said he'd fixed it!!! I asked how did you fix it..... He said with a booger !!! Hahaha! Never did find what it was. So I guess it worked! DIY :)

Eggs but I missed the part where you can't ever wash this jacket. Throw it away and buy a new one. That's the only true fix
Ummm... Aren't there other methods that won't wash away? That's a lot of work for a temporary fix. Unless somehow the proteins in egg meld to the fabric and make this permanent, I think there are better permanent options.
