I came here to see how Plant plays outside of memeing Neutral-B, instead I find the most PG rap I've ever seen and Snake being bullied harder than when the fans found out his cheeks were missing.

I usually edge guard using neutral B as Pirahnna plant
One fun thing against newer players is to neutral b, they'll shield, then dash attack.
Don't let it turn into a habit, but you'll send them flying.

While we do have characters like Link, Zelda, and the Animal Crossing characters, the only extremely setplay-centric characters in SSBU we have are Snake, Duck Hunt, and Plant; we need more playstyles like these

Despite being a plant main, I'm still learning so much from this video. I had no idea that nair-upsmash/up-tilt was a thing. That's what's so great about plant, there's always more to learn about it's and so many ways to use it's tools together.

As a piranha plant main I can say that this video holds up extremely well

You can actually keep holding b then slide to hit a to cancel it just in front of you and is the fastest way to deal with counters. Just make sure you're spaced correctly because it's not a true cancel

@@JJSquirtle I've never seen a video on it though I'm sure one might exist. Just in case you need it I made a quick one, but it's pretty simple: You set up your controls with A+B smash on, then when using Down special you can press A at any time to cancel it far sooner than if you are just trying to hit B twice or A right after B.

It's cool how plant in Smash has the same strengths and game plan as in the original Super Mario Bros games. In both situations, the player is thinking "okay, what's my approach to get over this thing without dying?"

I love plant, everything feels like a big brain play even though it's pretty much the opposite.
Super Mario Bros: If you land on Piranha Plant, you die.
Super Smash Bros: If you land on Piranha Plant, you die.
At starting percents you can up throw to neutral b. Will beat most aggressive airdodges, and can chase airdodges and jumps with the spikeball. Not perfect but a decent mixup that that is very rewarding if it works.

It feels weird to know I have been around for 4 smash games now. I wasn't around for the original but I was alive when melee was released and grew up on brawl. After playing 4 and ultimate I feel kinda honoured to see four out of the five of these games grow up alongside me and later be held of hall of fame.
And yet after all of this time it is only until ultimate did I find my main. I immediately fell in love with piranha the moment I saw it their reveal.

Another fun interaction between Little Mac and Plant's poison is that it will ALWAYS trigger the super armor of Mac's Smash Attack, increasing his damage output as a result

No stop!! I honestly feel like the reason I do so well is because people don’t realize how strong this character is specifically in these setups you can’t challenge plant from the air, all moves send either at an angle up or straight up and if you’re offstage it’s incredibly hard to get back I always play at the ledge or try to be underneath as this character most of my kills are either sneaky or you see them coming and really can’t do anything about it but yes this plant can bait a lot and quite successfully with an array or moves not just neutral B also if the plant isn’t shielding never try to grab her lol

I'm very pleased with the Mario cast in this game. The meme lords Piranha Plant and Daisy have been added to complement the bizarre Luigi/Wario and the disrespect lord Bowser. All I can still ask for is Captain Toad/Toadette and maybe Paratroopa lol

plant can also dash grab, tomahawk grab, and space jab and ftilt in certain matchups. burst options are rushdown options that aren't safe per se, but fast enough that they can catch people off guard
