Sir I have a doubt. If electron withdrawing grp is present the ...it will pull electrons from metal. So, the metal will have a partial positive charge right? If metal have excess of electrons it will donate back to ligand, but here metal won't b having excess of electrons so...back bonding must be decreasing nah? How come u have mentioned that backbonding increases when electron withdrawing grp is present as a ligand.. Please let me..know in what I have gone wrong.
sir has mentioned that EWG is present on the ethene molecule not on the metal ion. so if the EWG is present on ethene it will withdraw electron density from pie bond so that its acidity increases , when this acidity increases the metal ion will easily donate the electron density to the pie star orbitals of ethene.
