@@joaquinbitancor1269it’s the same idea, basically “this works if they were already poisoned” with the corner DI combo being the exception because you have so much time
Combos normally feel like homework to me but the flexibility of AKI's moves have made it fun this time around. The staggers, groundbounces, and rolling state are well implemented.
I think all the puddle stuff isn't necessarily that they want you to use the puddle, but it's an indication that they need to be poisoned for that combo.
@@mattmalco10 Yeah, the only one where it specifically has to be the puddle is the stun combo at the end. She needs to puddle after stun so they stay poisoned for the second M Whip.
True, and watch Broski's video too for some alternative perspectives. Combo trials in this game are actually pretty good at getting the wheels spinning.
Damn I found the super cancel at the end of Advanced 5 so hard. Saw a couple other youtubers modifying it with two jabs which I didn’t think of. Instead I had to get poison at the start and then combo the last jab into 236 HP to make it nice and easy.
Not tooo sure on what to ask as type of content for AKI, but for sure more AKI content. I usually enjoy your content when you hop on Ranked, so it could be a starter, then some guide depending on how those session went?
These trials, the game should make you do them twice ... once with the commands listed, a second time just says YOU CAN DO IT!! ... and if they don't back to showing the commands
The extra recovery animations that arent really recovery frames make things flow so nicely, but im still traumatized from playing strive Chipp and jumping in on Nago thinking he had massive recovery only to find out... 😔
I... No... FANG no. Don't do this to your apprentice. In order for Aki to access her most hype combos... she has to hit you two times. One combo to apply the poison that sets you up for the second, bigger combo. You just *had* to curse her with your obsession with the number 2!
My own personal experience of playing against her is she isnt as easy to grief ppl with as much as Rashid was at first. Like week 1 of Rasid added literally everyone was playing as him and getting really easy victorys , where as with AKI ive probably decimated 95% of ppl ive fought. She seems a lot harder to be 'good' with for the average player..
Hey man,I know that SFV devisive game, but the game actually have very good trials,if you didn't tried them yet, I really that think you should try someday,as a trial fan I feel like there some trials there are definitely harder than SF6 trials
I’m finding it very difficult to drive rush in Combos with this character what can I do to get better at that? Am I being too slow for a follow up or should I be aiming for a specific timing in certain combos?
Depends on what you're trying to DR out of I would say. I've had no problem DR canceling most of her normals, but if you're talking about doing like the qcfHP>PDR>sHK link, that one is a bit tough, and its a lot later than you might think it is. Best way to learn it is to just *hold* Parry during the recovery of qcfHP and the second you see her go into the Parry animation is when you should be doing the dash to get PDR (Parry Drive Rush). Do it empty a few times to see when her recovery is finished (when parry comes out) to learn the timing.
I wonder how big her poison damage actually is I have the feeling it mostly isn't a factor and the threat is on the move properties changing can she even KO from poison?
She can't KO from it, but when you consider chip damage isn't a thing beyond burnout, and the move property changes, it's still pretty effective. Way better long term than Rashid's mobility options, imo.
Imo she has some of the more easier trials among the characters in the game Although I'm also someone who thought JP's trials were some of the easiest in the game so uh
I think the reason it makes you put down the puddle at the start of most of the trials is it's the trial just saying "they gotta be poisoned bro"
Not always, for example the intermediate 8 and 9 you need the puddle so they get poisoned again after exploding the poison so you can explode it again
@@joaquinbitancor1269it’s the same idea, basically “this works if they were already poisoned” with the corner DI combo being the exception because you have so much time
@@BHS289no for that example specifically / some combos you need puddle set up in corner
PUDDLE 'EM UP, PUDDLE 'EM DOWN, PUDDLE 'EM PURPLE AND MAKE 'EM FROWN.
I think they could have made the opponent poisoned by default or at least written something like (with opponent poisoned) next to the puddle
Combos normally feel like homework to me but the flexibility of AKI's moves have made it fun this time around. The staggers, groundbounces, and rolling state are well implemented.
Exactly those states make combos so much more fun
Flexibility seems to be her expertise
I think all the puddle stuff isn't necessarily that they want you to use the puddle, but it's an indication that they need to be poisoned for that combo.
So many of her combos either end with them being poisoned or let you set up the puddle so it's not really a problem
@@mattmalco10 Yeah, the only one where it specifically has to be the puddle is the stun combo at the end. She needs to puddle after stun so they stay poisoned for the second M Whip.

I really enjoy her combos they seem to flow really well
That DASH animation is known as "The Egyptian Drift"
Nobody who pulled off those last 3 advanced trials for guile can be considered an ordinary human
It's crazy how many combos she has
Seems they took the Ken advice. More combo routes is more fun. Rashid and Aki both are designed that way.
She just straight up has the most combo trials in the entire cast
I would love to see the JM grind of AKI!

I’d like something like that too
I thought I could fix her but I can't fix my hands to do these combos... it's over
I’m here for all the aki ranked matches guys let’s go
These trials, the game should make you do them twice ... once with the commands listed, a second time just says YOU CAN DO IT!! ... and if they don't back to showing the commands
what I do is after completing a trial, I try to replicate the combo in the next trial just to see if I remembered

Poision at the beginning of combos because they should’ve been poisoned already

Aki definitely has the best combo trials
Any tips for how to get that super cancel at 9:55 ? It’s the only trial I haven’t been able to do

somebody get JM an AKI wig and make him wear it for ranked matches lol

She can't kill with it, and the poison damage is... 400, I think? A bit more than some jabs. The poison pop is definitely the real threat.
Ranked Marissa combo trials the easiest that kinda crazy to me id swap lily and marissa
