  • The Rosenbauer Panther can discharge 14,000 litres of extinguishing fluid in just 90 seconds, making it the ultimate weapon against fires. That is why it is the vehicle of choice for the fire fighting team at Atlanta International Airport - the world’s busiest airport. See it in action, and learn more about how it works, including its Volvo Penta D16 700 hp engine.

The water is on board so no need to connect pipes, the hoses are too powerfull to be handled by people, they are more protected in the truck, they dont have time to do anything else, they are in open field, so they can park anywhere they want. If you don't get the fire out within 3 minutes, your just collecting the bodies after the barbeque, so yes the trucks must be fast and capable of dumping the water that quick. Though no matter what the kit, its only as good as the people that crew it.

I wonder how long until one of these is on its roof. Look it up Atlanta hartsfield fire managed to flip an ARFF truck on its roof. I'm not sure what Make or model it was.
