I grew up here, and even though I work well over full time as an adult with next to no time left to skate, it makes me happy to see this happen for the younger generation. When I heard it was named after andy (a.dog) who I saw perform time and time again when I was a teenager, that just put the cherry on top.
Burlington, VT is actually one of the only cities that actually did a community celebration with MOST of the town visiting. Even those who don't skateboard or ride skateparks visited it to see what's going on. It's amazing but rare to see

I like the shallow bowl, this park looks awesome ! :-) I often wondered how Tony Hawk was able to stay on top of his game for so many years, and part of the answer seems to be: look, he's always wearing a helmet and kneepads. Clever!
The most beautiful thing about skating is you don't have to be Tony Hawk to be cheered by people. You have never dropped in and go to a park and make it after couple of failed attempts people will cheer for you!!
You just need to be real. I was consistently one of the least skilled and most nervous guys on our crew when I came back to it in my late 30s, but remember spending a couple hours trying to get layback rocks in a bowl with thirty odd people cheering on my every lame attempt 😂
If I had a local park like that I'd have skated so much more, don't even need to be able to do tricks, that transition every where would be so fun to just cruise and pump over
I like that the pros showed the groms how to skate the little bowl, showed them something to aim for rather than a 10 foot deep bowl demo. Well done guys good to see some mature inspiration.

Anyone thinking of skating here, I 100% RECOMMEND IT. They have sooooo many good things to skate and they have 2 bowls. A small 4 foot and a large 20 foot. It’s just the best park you could imagine
I wish he'd help build one down where I live. I'm stuck with 4 shitty sheet metal Quarterpipes that burn when you fall on them in the summer & a flat bar that's too high to learn tricks on. It'd be a dream come true to have a park like this one

My town is trying to build a skatepark, and we will try to get a grant from the Tony Hawk Foundation in a couple months after we have shown progress fundraising.

I love the combo of a small bowl and big bowls, it gets the beginners to learn tricks before doing it on the big stuff!
Just rode this this morning, now back home in Maine today. Sick park. Really had a good time there and so did my daughter!

This park is like 2 hours way from were I live and its amazing. The lack of parks in Vermont sucks but this is the best one for sure
