The money that God gives us must be used for his glory and to help others and not just to be spent or accumulated for selfishness and personal interest
Charity is the way to prosperity. And as pastor says, it’s about having a sufficient foundation from which one can help others in need. Live simple and give generously.
It is not a sin to have large income but what is Sin is to accumulate it in a Selfish and Greedy way and not to use the money that God gives us to help our Brothers with the Love that Christ wants us to have.
*From all the scripture I've read about wealth, I believe God is LOOKING for people to make rich.* The WORD says those who are faithful with little will also be faithful with much. Yes, I also believe God is cool with us having toys (cars, houses, boats, etc) AS LONG AS THEY DON'T BECOME OUR IDOLS. As long as we are tithing AND giving offering with a CHEERFUL heart (God loves a cheerful giver) AND doing charity/ministry work AND most importantly, giving all glory and honor and praise to God always. Let's be real, it costs MONEY to run ministries, charities, etc. MONEY is simply a tool, a resource. God (source) wants to entrust resources to those who will use them to glorify HIS Kingdom.

But much money will make you love it. Not everyone else can be like Job, who was crazy rich but crazy loves God. Paul himself urged nobody to desire being rich here, because we are truly, truthfully already rich (heavenly riches, hellooo). Its just that we cant control it. Our flesh cannot stand having that much money and still love God. Jesus said "you cant serve money AND God"-are you certain that you can handle being rich (as in, OWNING your riches)? But nevertheless i agree with your last statement and John Piper's : earn millions and billions is GREAT, as long as you dont own it, and give it to other people. Paul's, and God's, rule of thumb.

Helping the brother (Christian and non-Christian) in need selflessly is something that should be taught in the churches and that unfortunately in almost none of them is done knowing that our treasures should be made in heaven and not on earth.
Thank you for this. It’s slowly unblocking the brakes God had put on me before I recognized it. It’s reminding me that I am a channel not a bank, and if I keep, I risk keeping out of a pride or insecurity, which both will lead to my separation from those I love. This is a tough one. For those who understand my journey pray for me, and for those who don’t I’m glad you have your peace away from this trial.
Money in itself is not evil, it’s a tool. There were several wealthy people in the bible : Job, Queen Esther, King David, Solomon, Joseph of Arimathea and they served their purposes. God knew their hearts.
When money comes, it would be so much better to not take possession of it calling it yours, wrapping your arms around it and saying to yourself, this is mine.. Rather give it straight back to the Lord in the first instance and call it His.. Push it away from you and pray that Jesus would stand between you and the money, shielding you from it. Doing everything you can to flee from the ownership of it and run towards the stewardship of it, knowing that the ownership and possession of it is as dangerous as sexual sin. Seeing then that our awesome Lord is rich! But we are simply His humble servant stewards. It's in our accounts, but He sends us every breath we breathe, so it's really His money. I pray we may be found doing this all the while keeping one eye on the new earth and new Jerusalem.. Our blissful, eternal Eden 3.0 🙏

Look at Proverbs 30:7-9 it says “ God two things I ask of you; deny them not to me before I die: Remove far from me falsehood and lying; give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with the food that is needful for me, lest I be full and deny you and say, “Who is the Lord?” or lest I be poor and steal and profane the name of my God.
I'm kind of a walking contradiction. I'm a minimalist who could live nearly anywhere and be happy, but I'd also like to have enough money to afford the minimum stuff. All I need is shelter, basic utilities, food, clothes and possibly television and a way to contact people. My car just needs to get me from a to b and I don't need designer anything. medical stuff gets expensive but that's the most expensive thing I need to worry about so... Ya. I think i'd be happy with 30,000 a year and even that feels ritzy to me.

A follower of Christ should realize that riches tie you up in the world. You can do good with wealth but good deeds cannot save your soul or anyone else's. Souls are not redeemed with money. It's better to spend your life suffering for the Kingdom than to waste time building wealth hoping to delay your inevitable day of death.
