Did your fence have a small guide piece that you removed? Mine does and it would interfere with sliding the fence over your extension. Otherwise I have the same saw and fence.
Yes. There was a hard plastic block that rode on the rail. Without it keeping the fence level, the fence sometime catches on the metal tracks as I slide it over. Not a huge problem but something I will one day come up with a solution for.
If you mean measurements, it is around 20 inches long out the back of the actual table top. Deep enough so that it does not interfere with dust collection when folded down.
