    I find the way Matthew writes “the wife of Uriah” intriguing. He doesn’t use her name, he doesn’t use the word wife, he doesn’t even technically say the her of Uriah, he says the (feminine article) of Uriah (which is standing In for wife). As if even HES embarrassed king David did what he did. I noticed in Matthew’s gospel, he will talk about sensitive subjects like that in a more delicate manner. For example, Luke will just come out and say “Mary was pregnant” but Matthew says “she was found having in the stomach” or “Joseph didn’t know Jew until she had born a son” (instead of lie with her or something, which I’m aware is a Jewish phrase). I just think it shows the personality of the author that we miss in English.

    Thanks for the insight! When I read or study the Matthew genealogy and see the names of the pagan/Gentile women I get the assurance from God that you do not have to be perfect to be used by Him. This genealogy also stimulates me to do a separate study on each of the women and examine why God deemed them worthy to be in the line of Christ. I have a feeling that "Faith" is a strong factor. - Thanks for the wonderful video!

    You are a respectable and righteous man who spread virtue, humanity and loves goodness for you and for other people. I think it is time to read about the divine sciences that Muslims have which most people do not pay attention. Generally they are neglectful of paying attention to the religion of Islam, but we see that this religion is rapidly spreading among people and is not only in the Middle East, but in all parts of the world... We hope that you will start reading the Holy Qur’an and interpreting it and knowing what they call for, regardless of what the media says.
    With sincere respect to you and to all who search for the truth and the sciences that preserve our destiny after we leave this life

    There is huge amount of interesting intrigue that is interwoven with the names that are found in the Old Testament. An example is Ezekiel when he digs through the wall and witnesses the censer holders. The names in Samuel also form a part of intrigue once Ichabod is born and the Ark of the Covenant is captured. The tribes that stood against Israel as that nation divided during Rehoboam's time, and the sons of Ishmael that was promised to be a great tribe. Plus Keturah, Abraham's third wife and her children. All of these are difficult to follow as they disappear and reappear under similar names, such as when the Angel Michael speaks to the false accuser of Johua, son of Jozadek (?). These intricacies add depth to the Word of God, and yet the disciples proclaim that worrying over genealogies is a vain pursuit. This just shows how little I understand by reading and being confronted by the people that call the Bible discrepant.

    "Since all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God; they are now justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as a sacrifice of atonement by his blood, effective through faith."
    Romans 3:22-24 (NRSV)

      Just an honest question: Whats with the 5 point star (Pentagram) in your profile ?

    • @daveuk888
      @daveuk888 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@israelrivera3009it’s not a pentagram. It’s the “Starman” from Rush from their album 2112. It signifies “the abstract man against the masses”. See en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2112_(album)

    I am confused. How can Jesus’ genealogy be of a male lineage when he was of immaculate conception?

    • @DiscipleDojo
      @DiscipleDojo  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Immaculate conception refers to Mary's conception in Catholic dogma.
      But genealogy traces legal inheritance and birthright, both of which can come through adoption--which Joseph did for Jesus.

      Thank you. Just as you said genealogy wasn’t seen the same way as we see it today. That clears things up somewhat.

      @@DiscipleDojo I too would like to question the conceiving of Isaac in Sarah's womb. Was she also known by the Holy Spirit, but Mary's virginity proves Her's Immaculate. I know Sarah's was called the conception of promise made unto Abraham, so spiritual conception was a known fact among the children of Israel, wasn't it?

    Tamar was already rightfully part of the line. She was sinfully blocked from it by Judah. Judah himself says she is more righteous than him.

    • @DiscipleDojo
      @DiscipleDojo  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Correct. Judah's actions were scandalous and Tamar's reputation was nearly destroyed by him making her an unwed mother.

      @@DiscipleDojo Wasn't Judah about to put her to death, when she sent a servant with Judah's personal belongings he had used as downpayment? That tops it all!

    My geeky self likes Matthew's genealogy of Christ the best because it proves 42 really is the answer to life, the universe, and everything...42 generations to Jesus.
