I feel that this one has a deeper meaning behind it than the English version. I mean, I know it's the same song but some of the translations add more meaning to it. My favorite examples of this are "Memories bring no joy or peace" turns into "Nostalgia brings no joy or peace", bringing an almost darker feel. The chorus also changes to "Bernadette, you've opened my world. I celebrate every day. My fate has been changed" it's almost like a darker way of phrasing the same thing, adding to the depth and appeal of the song all together.
And to answer the question of Herr Corner's German, no he is not German, but he has and still lives in Berlin. As someone who's lived there, let me tell you, it leaves a mark ; )
he is british but he lives in berlin for many years... he said berlin have some unique decadent atmosphere good for music

Ich liebe diesen Song auch! Aber ich komme aus Russland, ich liebe die deutsche Sprache einfach sehr ... Es ist der Klang. Ich studiere es nicht, also hoffe ich, dass ich es richtig geschrieben habe.

haha ging mir genauso^^ ich konnte anfangs gar nciht glauben, dass er wirklich deutsch singt. Ich find die englische Version trotzdem viel schöner, aber was für eine schöne Geste ist das bitte von ihm! Und dieses Lied auf Deutsch zu hören ist wirklich sowas von verrückt. Und es klingt komplett anders. Wie viel Sprache doch ausmacht! Find ich echt krass. Dadurch verändert sich der ganze Charakter des Liedes, für mich zumindest..

@@cyberjackal774 editing would be simple, you have all 5 layered to the snap of recording, then snip and chut to play their part, it looks like a staircase in editing to go back and forth for it.
