      From what I heard you have to be in a nice and comfortable environment as well as have other people with you taking a trip or someone who’s sober. I’ve never taken psychedelics but will only do weed so I don’t have a lot of experience. I just know that you have to be be comfortable and having others around you which will make it more fun and enjoyable. Being in a bad environment with no one around can lead to a bad trip.

    • @anarchic_ramblings

      @@silentagony1019 Same for weed though. Weed always makes me anxious and I don't recommend it. If you want a nice time, a much safer bet is MDMA (ecstasy). There's a myth that weed is 'soft' while mdma is relatively 'hard'. Really the whole hard/soft dichotomy is bull. As for acid and mushrooms, I highly recommend you try. Just promise me one thing: take a large dose! A lot of people make the serious error of taking a low dose to be safe. But a low dose will just make you feel really anxious and uncomfortable for the next several hours. When you take a large dose you go into a new plane of existence and feel great. It's amazingly fun and 100% GOOD. Trust me: small dose bad, big dose good.

      That's very interesting, because, as a professional musician, I was especially interested in experiencing synesthesia with music during a psilocybin trip. But what music I've heard so far while tripping has only sounded especially clear to me, and necer at all distorted. The closest I got to synesthesia was listening to an organ piece by Olivier Messiaen -- who had a strong inner sense of synesthesia which guided his compositional process -- but it was quite late in the trip so had a very limited effect. I'll try earlier in the experience next time, and see what happens.

    • @RealShaggy
      @RealShaggy ปีที่แล้ว +80

      @@schultz564 Honestly shrooms are the hardest drug to explain, like I can explain it but it doesn't really make sense unless you've tried them. What I felt though was just like being drunk for the first 10-15 minutes of it kicking in I felt like the drunkest I'd ever been for a little bit and colors got super vivid, then I felt an insane amount of happiness, like everything made me smile and I laughed throughout the entire trip (only tried them once so far). I literally laughed so much my cheeks hurt and I had tears streaming down my face from it basically the whole night. It felt like for some reason the "vibe" mattered so much too, and I'm not even the type of person to say something like that lol, but the second the colored LED lights turned off everything just felt so different. I went outside and going through the door felt like walking through a portal, then I had an overwhelming feeling that I was connected with the Earth and everything around me seemed to be breathing. I looked at the dust on the hood of my car and it looked like little bugs crawling around on it. My favorite part was when I looked up at the moon, I stared up at it for what felt like 15 minutes outside by myself but it was really 1-2. It looked like there was fire all around it and it was getting closer, like it looked GIGANTIC and as if it was coming towards me really fast. Seems scary to think about but I knew I was tripping so I just thought it was super cool. Also worth it to mention that everything just feels better on shrooms. Like I had a can I was just rolling around in my hands the whole time because the feeling was just so cool. Even just moving from sitting on the couch to the floor switched up the whole vibe of things too, it was crazy.

      If you have anxiety about being trapped in a trip, do not take hard drugs like shrooms, acid, or other chemicals. Acid lasts 8-12 hours, and you will feel different afterwords 2.5 grams of shrooms only lasts a few hours, but that is plenty of time to have a serious panic attack if you are prone to them.
      I know people who were never the same from abusing psychedelics, in a bad ways that ended in opiate addictions and suicides. So whatever excitement or profundity you might experience in a trip is not worth risking chronic psychological damage.

    as someone who has taken between 200 and 500 micrograms of LSD (a pretty high dose) this is the most realistic representation of what a high dose looks like, it is actually a work of art. The visuals are rarely scary if you understand what you’re in for, just view it as how beautiful your brain can be and how incredible it is that our brain works in these ways.

    • @nodezsh
      @nodezsh ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ItzDenz I think the closest thing we've got to automatic this is neural networks amplifying details of images.
      Google's Deep Dream used a database of similar images for each category with the least amount of details possible, on the first layer; and the biggest feasible amount of different images in one category with the same object, on the last layer.
      The program got tasked with drawing conclusions on what constituted a good identifier of each object, so running it on an image made it identify whatever was prominent in there.
      But then you could also play with it, as they figured out: You could make it identify objects on a picture AND THEN make it double down on the details it saw on the picture. So you got a new picture with all these new details of all the useful identifying features of the picture, enhanced.
      It just so happened that running it repeatedly started amplifying eyes and faces on whatever you ran on it. You ended up with the same image, but wherever there could be anything that was even extremely unlikely, but still theoretically similar to an eye, you ended up with an actual eye in very high resolution. (They definitely must have had a huge sample of living beings and portraits of people 'cause that's what we upload the most of. But you can change the sample and make it highlight whatever you want.)
      A lot of this video feeds on this technique. I can tell because the effects are spot-on for what the technique's results are.
      Just run a picture of your bedroom through some neural network and you'll get an idea. Basically you start identifying details that aren't necessarily there. I mean we do that all the time (that's how we identify things (maybe)); but apparently when you're tripping you force your brain to go head first into that ability, judging by these images.

    This is so strangely accurate. I've done acid about 5 times in my life, back around 1988. But occasionally I still see the world like this, but I am not stoned or high. I have heard that some of the LSD can get stored in your body's fat deposits, and then when you burn the fat you will tend to have airy lucid flashbacks without being stoned. When I fast and work out I am so clear minded, sometimes impatient with the Uncertainty of other's apparently false perceptions around me. What this video doesn't show you is the mental effects of taking these psychedelics. The visuals are a silly side effect. The drug completely overrides your deepest insecurities and your ego to tell you what is truly wrong in your life and what you need to be doing. It gives you an overwhelming appreciation for those things and beings that you love in your life. It's definitely not something to be feared. A lot of stigma comes from the fact that these things have been outlawed (unrightfully so). They were made illegal and completely forgotten about decades ago, and only recently have people started talking about them again. There was a study done that gave people with terminal illnesses on their deathbed doses of psychedelics, and not only did they come to terms with the grim reality of their mortality, they didn't fear death anymore and overall became more happy people. This realistically is the closest to inner peace and true unbridled happiness a human being can get. It really is a misunderstanding that causes fear of things such as this.

For the first time ever, last week I actually felt like my soul left my body. I have never done psychedelics before, but I feel like I've somehow vaguely seen this before. Especially that weird contrast outline of the logs phasing in and out at 5:10. It looks exactly like a thing I used to do as a kid. I tried to clear my head and completely focus on something without thinking about what the thing is I'm looking at. At some point the image would start phasing, exactly like those logs. I also heard people say they feel incredibly small, or incredibly big compared to the space they're in. This is something I sometimes have when I'm on the brink of falling asleep. Like I become this tiny little thing in an enormous space. But I always have these moments for a brief moment in time, and as soon as I start noticing it slips away. I have a feeling psychedelics really make you lock into it and allow you to not slip out.

      honestly i think this is what i call the mirror phenomenon. Why ? Cause i don't remember the scientifical name of it. Basically, when you look into a mirror at yourself for long enough, you start to have hallucinations like your face being distorted, etc. I have tried this and unlike other people for which it takes a few minutes to work i only need around 20 seconds for it to start. I recently discovered i can also do it while looking at anything it's just that it's alot harder. it does this when you focus at something for very long and don't move your eyes at all. At least for me. I don't have enough details to say if this is what you are experiencing tho. I also had kinda similar phasings when this happened. I just think that's what it is cause it looks very similar and also something else you said whenever you notice it it goes away that might be another similarity cause whenever i move my eyes it goes away aswell.

      Most of the time, our pupils move back and forth, almost imperceptibly, to be able to focus on objects in our 3d environment. Taking psychedelics stops the movement (as well as other things) and dilating your pupils through not focusing on anything does much of the same thing. You can certainly "trip out" for free. There is so much more psychedelics do, mentally and emotionally, and even more visually, but you certainly can experience it a bit without their use.

    Also, whenever I blinked or closed my eyes, I didn't see darkness. I saw brightly lit, colorful, psychedelic patterns that swirled so furiously that it actually hurt my eyes to keep them closed. It was pretty scary actually. Edit: 11:08- 13:06 demonstrates this point pretty well actually!

    Once i was biking while on a pretty big dose. The first half of the trip was gorgeous. The sun seemed brighter, nature seemed greener, and the music in my headphones was great.
    Then i got to the top of this notorius hill in my town, and the moment i reached the top i could feel myself starting to come down and the song that was playing switched to "money for nothing" by dire straits, and the drum solo at the beginning mixed with me coming down made me feel odd. I was staying still on the side of the road shaking my head because every time the drum beats hit it made everything go darkish red for a second, like blinking but instead of it all going dark, just going blood red for a split second instead.
    This terrified me and i shut off the music and went straight home. The ride took probably 15 min at most, but it felt like 2 hours. Everything felt darker, i would see little shadows in the corner of my eye coming from the bushes by the road. I felt a sense of impending doom. The mushrooms were hitting me in waves at this point and id spend a few minutes terrified of everything, then another few collecting my thoughts. When i had a break between the waves of psilocybin, id keep myself calm by listening to the gentle clicking of the chain and gears on the bike (it was downhill so i got that noise because i didnt have to pedal) and i had to keep telling myself "dont worry, youll be home soon, then you can relax till the trip is done. Pretend your like a soldier, stoic and not giving in, and just keep going forward"
    And this helped alot. But Whenever the waves of the high would get stronger, id forget all that and feel like i was about to die until i could snap out of it and keep telling myself those lines.
    My worst trip ever, but ill also never forget how it made me feel like i could overcome anything. By the end i really did feel like a soldier, even though all i really did was pedal home without having a complete mental breakdown. But at the time i really felt like id marched through hell and back without a scratch. Remembering that feeling helps when depression hits and i need more strength than i think im capable of.
    I dont know why i wrote all this down, but i just felt compelled to. Maybe you can find something in this that helps you somehow.

I recommend psilocybin for almost everyone. Just learn what it is to prepare yourself, and then spend the time preparing yourself. Treat them as sacred, a sacrament. with respect and reverence, and you'll be fine. There's only been two times I've ever been brought to tears because of sheer beauty. Once was watching my daughter sleep when she was little. The other was laying in a dark room, eyes closed, and simply being overcome during a psychedelic experience. Very accurate! The shifting hues of color is spot on! The crazy thing too is that the visuals reflect your emotions and thoughts too, so things can shift and change depending on your state of mind. Also, for anyone wondering, yes, the hallucinations are as sharp and vivid as sober reality, and the longer you stare, the finer the detail.

    I've taken several psychedelics. LSD, Mushrooms, and 2CB. The beginning of this video really reminds me a lot of the time I did 2CB, the visuals are very similar. LSD is a lot more elegant though, there's a certain geometric beauty to LSD that nothing can really replicate. It's very colourful and serene, it didn't change my life like a lot of people claim it did for them (I've done pretty high doses as well), but it's certainly an experience I'll never forget

      Also, I wouldn't recommend psychedelics if you're looking for a cure for your mental health issues. I wouldn't even recommend them in general, they are to be respected, not bandied about haphazardly. Don't do psychedelics because strangers on the internet told you to, do your own research, practice harm reduction methods, and be careful. They can mess you up if you aren't careful

    This is at the same time both beautiful and somewhat scary and impressive. I feel still slightly dizzy after watching it. Some parts of the video I actually had a hard time distinguishing when the tripping starts versus normal vision. Even though I haven't taken any psychedelic drugs I feel like Ive seen similar things but to lesser degree before
    Edit: now that I have watched the whole video (and actually commenting the day after) I want to say this video made a lot bigger impression than I expected from just a random simulation. After I temporary stopped watching it midways through I still felt dizzy and creeped out for several minutes afterwards and fearing I would start hallucinating in real life. And its odd because the imagery weren't even that scary and I actually found a lot of them beautiful and fascinating, but its just something really unsettling about feeling like your sanity is fading. When I came back to watch the second half I felt a lot calmer watching it, actually abnormally lethargic. And the next day I felt great for several hours into the day (definitely connected to this video)
