We've not yet taken on level 35 Armadas on our server but when we do we'll pay more attention to the difficulty between the rares and epics. Thanks for the heads up!
Agreed! I neglected my research so much. If I had taken the extra day or two to get at least the "efficiency" and "pure" upgrades my life would have been so much easier. I still have trouble convincing my peers to take the time to get them first and then work on their favorite ships. You'll thank yourself in no time when everyone else is still trying to get 1700 G3 UC mats to upgrade their Bortas/Sally and you're breezing through it in comparison. 😂 Great tip Tfloyd69! 🖖
nice to know ... DJ Aoki "Shatter Defense" is total unjustified because currently he has the same effect as Zhou, Beverly , 5of10 but Scopely once said he will be fixed one day and then you have to deactivate him for armadas because he would replace all 6of10 officers in the group
This list of broken officer abilities seems to be moving in the wrong direction, for sure. I wonder how many other abilities don't work that didn't make it to Scopely's official list....?
mm lets agree to disagree on the crewing part, or the power calc. 'o mention of 5 spoirk or geordie spoirk as go to armada crew. i run 5 kerla kahn as goto crew for everything up to 37 uncs. riker is a gamechanger but burns loots and makes the loot distribution a bit of an issue.if you use riker on a sure thing armada then you're not a team player
Actually I don't think we need to agree to disagree. Your points are very valid for players more advanced than most on our server (US-062-Duras) currently are but highly accurate at that level. And I agree that on a sure thing armada Riker is very unnecessary and an extra loot crew (Geordi, 5, etc) is far more valuable. Thanks for the input nico ramaekers 🖖
5,6 Khan 5 Kirk Spock, are the main crews on my server. But officer LVL does differ player to player so what's good for me isn't always good for you. As a side note. Armada are longer battles and I'm sure lower deck with plenty of health does better.
Worst money hole game ever! If you are the first to hit level 23 in your alliance be prepared to spend $100 to play those Armada's they sell you on the commercials. The real slap in the face is they got rid of the $20 pack that solved this chicken and egg problem.
I agree that this game is quite steep as far as Pay-to-Win/Microtransactions are concerned. However, a lot of the reason that this channel exists it to help free-to-play and small-spenders get the most out of the game regardless. As far as the armadas are concerned, a very common way to get around the chicken/egg armada situation is to either go join a more mature alliance and run a few armadas so you can get your own Armada Control Center started, or have someone that already has it built come join your for a few hours and help your alliance get going. Back on server 62 only a handful of alliances bought the $20 pack to get started. All the rest had help. 🖖
Level 32 and didn't know that rule of thumb for fleet vs. Armada Strength .... THANKS MAN!

I usually run a small 1 that I could solo 1st to see who shows.
Very wise. I've often said that you never really know who's actually online and paying attention - until you host a rare or epic armada, lol.
Lower rare and epic are not much different in what's needed. 35 and above rare are imo harder than the same LVL epics

Research is soooooo important. Enterprise can solo a 39 and probably real close to soloing a 38 rare with just a little more research

5 / Geordi only adds to your personal share of the loot. Using Riker or 5 doesn't affect the others in team in any way.
