This video has been a LONG time coming, but i've watched these videos all throughout high school, and wanted to share my journey. I haven't committed to a school yet, and have no clue where i'll end up, but I had fun making this video and I hope you guys enjoy! This entire process was absolute torture and certainly had its ups and downs, but I applied to 27 schools, and here's how it went:')

For anyone watching these videos, don’t feel pressured into trying to be the same person/applicant as anyone else. Everyone is different and not all of us are fit for Ivy League schools. The environment of the school you attend really matters and I think that the prestige of top schools can blind students from seeing this. There’s a college out there for everyone, but people keep on focusing on the most prestigious rather than where they would succeed. Of course, some students are built for these schools and will do well at them, but this doesn’t go for the majority of students. Just know that you can still be successful in life without going to a prestigious school. Overall, just make sure that the schools you apply to and the one you ultimately attend is the right fit. I just hope that this reaches stressed out high school students everywhere!
P.S. Congrats on your acceptances! The intended audience of this comment was any student stressed over the admissions process, hoping to get into a top school. This was in no way throwing shade at students applying to/attending prestigious schools. I just want students to know that it’ll all work out and to really examine the schools they’re considering.

I have two years left to go and I haven't done much except get good grades for these first two years so I've been really stressed about trying to fit all these arbitrary requirements for schools like Harvard and sometimes I need to be reminded that the most important thing is that I do things I enjoy and have a fulfilling junior and senior year, not that I fit some checklist for a college that will probably reject me anyway. Thank you
No, feel pressured. You'll have time to not feel pressured after you either get accepted or rejected. It's only for a few years, and you don't know whether you're 'fit' for these schools until the decision is made. Everyone who gets into these schools has felt that pressure. Give it 100% for a couple years. There's no point thinking back on the excuses of the schools 'not fitting' you.
Omg tysm, I needed this so badly. I am a theater student, so musical theater is obviously my college major goal. I’m trying to apply for colleges that are good for that major.
