    I doubt Sal (or anyone else from Khan Academy) will ever see this, but if you do, know that this helped me immensely! I'm so happy to be able to understand it for my test tomorrow. Everything in these videos are always done in such an easy to understand manner and it's very much appreciated (also, I very much appreciate the color coding!)

    XxTHATGUYxX122 If the bases are different, they cannot be combined using exponent rules. You would have to evaluate each one separately before multiplying or dividing those answers. Don't mix apples and oranges. :)

    I thought in math... having train math is wrong,. 1 + 2 = 3 = so on and so on,,, something like that.

      If it has a different base, it stays as it is. I know I’m 6 years late😂

      @@missamericana6336 if one base is a multiple of another it can be simplified 2^3 * 4^6 = 2^3 * 2^12 = 2^15. divide the base by 2 and multiply the exponent times 2

    At the very end of the video you had the 5/4 1/x and then y. How come it became y/1 and not 1/y sorry probably really dumb question.
