I converted my GTEK into a GMEK and I love it! Prefer using it more over my EMEK & M170R! Love the slide trigger! I've yet to chop paint with the GTEK, whereas I chop at least once every time I use my EMEK or M170R. Also, you forgot to mention the POPS ASA for the GTEK & 160R (which came stock on the Stealth). And, the eye system for the 170R is different from the GTEK & 160R, but very similar to the CS2. 100% agree with you on the CS2's screen! It is very old-school; reminds me of old calculators! I think they should go the route of the Dye M3+ screen. PE finally released the Mech frame for the CS2.
Hey there! Man, you are 100% correct about everything you said there...I'm actually going to put up an update video. I have no idea where that bran fart came from on the 170R with the wireless body connection and light pipe eye system. The worst part is that not only do I know that, I literally stripped a 170R down to send for ano immediately before I taped this video. I'm old, take it easy with me! :)
Ya after I posted it and watched I realized that I confused the 160r and 170r when I added that...but you can't edit in that way once they're posted. I'll add a comment for sure.
I have both, and the only difference I can tell when shooting one this week and the other the next, is the front grip on 170 suits me more ( twice the size of the amp )
@@TradingJuice a little late to your comment but I’m debating buying an amp or a 170R I have no clue which one. They are both around the same price. Which one do you think shoots better
You also didn't mention that one additional difference between the 160r and 170r is the battery placement. Replacing the battery on the 170r is much easier and reduces the reasons why you will have to remove the grips.
This was a Great video!! I just got a 170r and my son has one. I was always wondering what the difference was between all these (price points, actual difference in features and mechanics) and this was the most real, plain talk without mixing words or sales pitches about the guns. Thank you for making this video!! It even got me comfortable about buying a used Gtek as a backup without worrying if the gun is so inferior in performance due to its age - as well as the price I should look for for one. Thank you!
For pure performance I should add every gun made after 2013 or so :) But seriously, I don't know why anyone buys an Etha 2 when these options exist, especially on the used market for such short money. Macro line or no, I'd buy an OLED Gtek over an Etha 2 6 days a week and twice on Sunday.
