Coming from the Midwest I feel like some of these larger mountains could really benefit by putting one or two rope tows in. They don't have to be crazy long but I like them because it allows you to hit the same feature over, and over, and over again without ever getting on a chair or waiting in lift lines. It would be great for beginner parks where kids are just starting to hit beginner rails and boxes.

Came to the comments before the video! My group and I “discovered” Louis last year when covid hit and all the ski resorts we were familiar with were booked up. Ever since that day, we haven’t been anywhere but Louis. Such a hidden gem
@@skells1652 it's money bullshit. I worked at marmot basin in jasper Alberta this season. They didnt build 1 of the parks (they have 2 big ones usually). They used the covid excuse and said they didn't have money. Same reason we didn't get bonuses at the end of the season. It's bullshit though because I used to talk to one of the higher ups often and he was saying they were making the most money in years. Every weekend we ran out of parking where we can hold 1200 cars. The weekends had never been busier according to people that had worked there for years. Parks are super expensive to build and maintain so it cuts into profit.

My favorite progression park is Copper Mountain in Colorado. I'll be going to a new resort this winter. I'm excited to freeride at Whitefish Mountain Resort. They do have terrain parks, so I'll have to see how they are.

@@saucy6440 I love how Copper Mountain has various difficulty levels for different features in the terrain park. The small kickers and rails give you an opportunity to build your confidence for larger features. I would definitely recommend going to Copper!

The progression at Northstar is amazing. I coached freeski there for 5 seasons, and you can really develop abilities. Northstar has had a lot of athletes. Eileen Gu, David Wise, Shaun White, Chas Guldemond. If you ever ski the East coast, you must check out these resorts. Okemo Mountain VT (Has a Tbar accessing a 18foot Halfpipe / Slopestyle course). Loon NH has some of the best features. Killington VT has some of the best long park runs on the east coast.
Man I totally agree on the Northstar Park is crazy and when you get off the gondola I was like wait what. The park is awesome I did some hits me and my brother. I loved it.
You need to hit the east coast especially Sunday River in maine. It has like 4-5 parks starting small and getting crazy big. I also suggest Camelback in the Poconos in PA it has a good progression park and then a good sized big park.

Northstar is great. A key feature for me is a dedicated life, or mostly dedicated to the park. Other contenders: Woodward at Park City - pure park. Keystone Area 51, and Palisades (formerly Squaw).
My top 3 have been in this order: Mt. Hood Meadows, Mt. Hood Oregon Park City, Utah Whistler, British Columbia Bonus for Mt. Norquay in Banff and Mt. Seymour in North Vancouver, BC for having a bunch of cool little features and both being right in the city.

N* is my home mountain. Definitely fun parks. Just my opinion but I think Mammoth has better parks. But Northstar has a less intimidating vibe when you first start lapping. Also the jumps at Northstar are a lot less poppy so the makes them less scary as well.

hyland hills is unmatched fr. it might not have XL features but the vareity it has is really good and the laps u get is also unamatched
