  • I have upgraded my battery conductor from 4 AWG to 2/0 AWG. 4 AWG was getting a little arm at 130A continuous draw.

To small of wire will shorten the life of the inverter drastically

I upgraded the wire size to 2/0 shortly after the install. 4 gauge was too small for continuous 130A draw.

Hi what voltage is yr leaf battery how to connect together

I have them in 4S configuration. Each cell is 4.2V max., so that makes 16.8V.

16..8v is high how do u charge to leaf batttery by charge controller what is setpoint for high voltage low voltage disconnect for my used leaf battery thank

@@hing983 these are individual cells out of a Nissan Leaf battery. A completely assembled Nissan Leaf battery has around 400V. The chemistry is within the LiIon category and therefore the maximum voltage is 4.2V per cell and somewhere around 3V cut off voltage. You need a BMS for any Lithium chemistry that matches the chemistry (LiIon, LiFePO4, Li Titanate etc.). The BMS comes in may configurations from 2S to 16S or more. I am using a 4S LiIon BMS rated at 200A. If you want something lower in voltage you could use a 4S LiFePO4 setup with max voltage of 14.6V. Or you build a 3S configuration.

How do u wire the bms wire to each leaf battery connectors I look I don't kown how which is first positive second positive third positive fourth positive in 4s configuration

Each module has 2 cells in it. Measure the voltage of each and mark polarity and voltage on each terminal. Then use bus bars to connect them in 4S. I did not make a video on building this particular battery, but the concept is the same. Here is a link to one of my battery build videos. Maybe it will clarify things for you: th-cam.com/video/kM2V-E7YFDg/w-d-xo.html
