Hey. My name is Bill Benavides. I've been watching all of your videos for a few months. I do not specialize in trim carpentry, but I've learned a lot from you. I am also based on DeWalt and picking up a lot of Milwaukee recently, just due to circumstance. I'm doing maintenance at 16 houses occupied by people who have special needs: downs syndrome, autism, brain injury. I'm intermediate at carpentry, plumbing, electric and hvac. I have to tell you that your channel has helped me a couple of times. I also think you're just a cool guy. I'm in Austin. I saw that you went to a high school shop class and thought that was cool. Please keep up the great work and keep these cool tips coming! Happy holidays!
Nice upgrade... and the feeling you get when you get everything in it's place? Priceless! Your unloading process earns you an advanced degree certificate in Egyptian Engineering for clever use of a ramp IMHO. BTW I hardly recognized you without your shades on! 😎😲😁 Best, Matt
I want to thank you for your service to our country. It’s guys like you that we need teaching the next generation of tradesman (and women.) Your videos are very educational and your work habits are well thought out. Blessings to you and your family.
Super nice toolbox Richard! Great buy! Your HD gang seems cool as well. Was a little worried about your daughter's legs there for a minute! Enjoy the new toys!
If you are a contractor and have not loaded the truck up with one or all the kids from school then said the words "Watch out for the board" you are probably not working that much lol
I purchased a similar version at Harbor Freight and it truly has been a game changer. I should purchased it years ago. Having your tools organized is a beautiful thing. That is a beauty. Enjoy
Great score and I am glad that HD gave you your military discount. Im sure you earned it. Thank you for your service. Enjoy that awesome tool box. Glad you're being successful in your business. Good luck on selling your boat.
Hello Richard I like every single video you made man you're awesome ...... i like the way you teach and show your skills keep humble like you are God bless you and your family
I have this tool chest minus the pegboard attachment and absolutely LOVE it. Mine must be a previous model as it has only 4 casters vs 6. This thing is a tank and has the perfect amount of workspace on the top. Definitely recommend this!
You know the two best days of a boat owner......the first day and the last day....lol. Love your videos. I am half tempted to fly your family up here for a week and help me redo all the old trim in this house we bought.
Another great vid man, hope you had a blast filling your new tool box. Great to have a supporting wife and your baby Marine is very cute, ready to start work with his daddy. Hope you had a great thanksgiving and a happy holidays. Semper fi
I’ve learned so much from this guy, then to find out he’s military on top, I knew there was a reason I liked him. I bought the same toolbox a few years back and that military discount at Depot makes a huge difference
This is SO cool!! You are at OUR Home Depot--only 10 minutes from my house! (Never saw a video with a local store before. too cool) And, yes, Noah has waited on me in tool rental and at the checkouts. He's a great guy. She (the checker) has waited on my husband. (Thank you for your service, btw.) Nice purchase! My husband is jealous..lol.
Yo Richard, I saw your thumbnail for this toolbox and I thought it was exactly the one I got and it looked like how I got it out of my car too. Actually watching you I realized it was half the toolbox I got. I got the Milwaukee double stack almost like yours but it was 2 pieces and yes just as heavy. The original price was $999 but since I took the floor model (the last one also) the guy gave it to me for $500. I was so hyped and excited and I wanted to get it out of the store before they changed their mind. It took 4 Home depot guys to put it on the big flat cart that's raised up like a table but I got it in my Jeep by myself and getting both pieces out was gonna be an adventure. I thought of getting a neighbor just like you but decided to get 2 thick boards like you had but thicker and did the ramp thing and slid it down and set it up. I love the box. With the wheels it is about 5' 10" with the 2 big air compressors that push open the big lid. You probably saw it in HD. Good luck with it and enjoy.
I just got back from our HD.... *Black Friday; starts from ***_Nov 28 and ends on Dec 4th 2019_* !! Lots of "Out of stock" in our store...but we can Internet store order from our HD customer service, to another another store and still get the Black Friday sale deals...very cool I love that HD honors Military service ....most other hardware stores, don't
Awesome man!🔥😎Congratulations!👏🏻 That’s exactly what I’ve been contemplating. Let me know how it goes Richard! Happy holidays to you and you’re family brother!👊🏻
I bought the same chest on sale early last year as well. Basically used same technique to get it out of my truck. I really like this chest and it helped me clean up the clutter around my garage/workspace...for a few months anyways...:)
I bought that same tool chest like 2 years ago...its a beast to move unloaded! Anyway, I filled mine and still have some room left..I guess I need to buy more tools. Congrats on your purchase!
Glad you got the military discount and yes it’s good on sale items. Good props to HomeDepot and Lowes. I see you have the same rainy weather we have in SoCal. Man that board sure did its job. Nice tool chest. I don’t believe you will get the tool chest organized in just one day. You have a bunch of stuff.
Congrats on your box! I had the same issue when I got my 52 inch husky box. All HD employees unavailable but had 3 nice guys to help me load it. I wish they would just leave a few of those tool chests in their packaging box. Would be so much easier to load and unload.
Love your videos!! Thank you, so much for sharing that. "I HAD to do it!" too ...my wife doesn't like you very much right now ;-) hehe. I told her it's an early Christmas gift. She'll get over it when I apply another trick I've learned here to my basement remodel and I remind her of Finish Carpentry TV. Keep up the great work and thanks again, for sharing!! PS this box weighs 405 lbs ...glad to see no one was injured during your delivery process. That is exactly the method I've used before but I would use two side-by-side.
Hey Richard - I was in the local HD and they had this on display, here in Ottawa, Canada is the list price of $1098.00. Even with 35% on the USD, that works out to $950. Seems like you got a good deal!
Oh wow your'e gonna dig the track saw. And thanks for mentioning that Dewalt has a 60 volt track saw now. I've had their corded for a few years love it.
Nice Tool Box, Great Kid! I got HF's US Generals tool boxes, hands down the best boxes with killer pricing. Didn't know you are a fellow Brother Vet, what branch, I did 8 yrs in Nuc Subs. The military discount is good on sales & everything else except "Special Buy"items.
I went to 7 different HD's looking for that toolbox when it was on sale awhile back. Found the last one in South Florida right before the sale ended on the top shelf at a HD that was pretty far. The 10% discount made it even sweeter. Hell of a deal there.
Ironic to see this comment. I literally just separated my customer relationship with Home Depot and actively avoid them due to continued customer service issues. They didn't show up for appliance delivery twice (two orders in a row). Associate told me that an impact driver had a regular chuck, the blinds installer got the order completely wrong and had to return the whole 20 blinds and delay install for 2 weeks waiting for the correct ones. This all happened in a short timespan and was completely fed up with them. I've directed 100% of my business to their competition now.
@@CCscott the guy he was talking to wasnt a sales clerk, just a floor associate. And if he didnt ask at checkout, than you cant blame them cause they have to know to get help - yes they could have asked but we didnt see the whole conversation. Also, Black Friday. Busy as hell at certain stores.
@@CCscott Yep HD sucks! Military discounts or not. The clerks demeanor changed when the guy asked for help loading it. Sure enough, nobody from HD helped him load it.
Congrats on the DEALS. You’ll love the track saw once start using, you sure will💪🏼👍🏻. Apple Watch is also a cool thing to have as well. Happy Holidays ❄️
Hey, before you go crazy with the DeWalt track saw, take a look at the Makita. I am part of the DeWalt battery family and thought that track saw would work well. What I found is that the Makita has a better feel as you plunge down into the material. So, go to a store that has both and do a side by side comparison.
Skyline Photography | Aerial & Real Estate Photography last year the makita went down to $400 , with 4 batteries, and the long track with clamps, sadly i did not buy it on that one day deal, now just waiting for it to happen again... was right before or after Christmas.
The two best days in a boat owner's life, when he buys it and when he sells it. Nice tool box and congrats on the score as well as the loading and unloading. I thought that board was a goner.
Great vid! how heavy is this to move around once filled? looks amazing. can't decide between 52 and 61/62" and need to move it around the garage sometimes.
You should buy the Makita track saw. It is the only saw that I'm aware of that locks in the track when making bevel cuts. It's awesome. I own one and love it. It is very accurate and does a professional job. Have a great holiday!!!
OK God bless Eric and his compadres that help you. And God bless you why because mine has help me out so many times it’s not even funny. I hope you have some rock and holidays buddy. If I ever leave Austin and get to Dallas I am going to find you!
I bought mine a few years back during black Friday. It was packaged and on a pallet. A kid brought it over on a pallet jack and said, "I think we can just lift it into your trailer." I told him to radio the fork lift. I believe that sucker weighs at least 350 pounds packaged.
Is there room for a vice clamp at the end of the tool box? I would of built a cabinet storage system on that side of the garage with different size matching cabinet and a work bench.
I like the top on it. If it gets banged up for some reason just flip it over. Like the deep drawers also. Put some kyzan foam and arrange your tools and there you go. Nice find.
I got a normal sized one for $400 at home depot last month. Depends on your needs but the $400 one is at least 2/3rd or up to 3/4th the size of this one and half the price.

All the best.
Semper Fi...I used the same 2x4 method to remove my 72” box from Harbor Freight. Unfortunately my California boards broke and almost my wife’s hand along with that. But luckily nothing was permanently damaged

Pretty sweet tool box, not sure why you bought a mechanics toolbox? A bank of drawers and cabinets on that wall would have made way more sense. I hope the DeWalt 60v tracksaw works out for you, I went with the Makita corded version because I heard the DeWalt isn't as good as the Makita. I run it off my DeWalt power station so it's basically cordless. All the best man!
