For the maker of this video. I know I am late to this link, but thank you for your brilliant instruction on crochet beading. I love the art using the Kumihimo principle and board. I also am an experienced crocheter. You instructions are clear and concise. But really, I want to thank you for going to the effort of taking the time to work out how to do this crochet method and videoing it. Your brilliance and patience for figuring this out, is incredible. I only wish I had your ability to work this through. Obviously you must be the kind of crocheter who can also put crochet patterns onto paper. Pattern making of any craft form, is a required skill that few people have. I use to be able to do it with Dressmaking patterns but never crochet or knitting. I hope you don't mind that I have provided people with a link that answers their questions, by showing them the way to Kumihimo information on the Interweave link?.
I have watched a lot of bead crochet videos, and have never been able to see the thread path, till now! Thank you so much for your clear instructions and close up views.
I'm an experienced crocheter and have viewed several of the videos for a crocheted spiral. Yours was by far the best explained and the easiest to understand. Thanks!
I am totally new to the crochet part of beading and wanted to learn and after watching Gianna demonstrate it in this video i fully understood it and feel confident about what to do. I think you're an excellent teacher and always study your videos while i bead along with you and always have success. I think you did an amazing job as a teacher Gianna, it also helps bc I am a visual learner and I could fully see each beading move you did to where I am now crochet beading for the first time! Thanks for this video I thoroughly enjoyed it and love all the videos you make :)
I actually want to seriously try both especially after watching you do a couple videos on each im hooked :) now to plan out what to start on and what supplies I may need for it and to do one at time along with my other bead weaving projects im currently working on too :)
Thank you for using larger than usual yarn and a larger hook (plus big beads) so your viewers could clearly see your technique. This is a very helpful video, especially in terms of bead placement. Thanks again!
Hello from Adelaide, you are the Bestest teacher I have ever seen or heard of in my whole life, love you, and thank you sooo much for sharing your knowledge with me, thanks a million
You made it SO INCREDIBLY EASY - and it is because you used everything that is too big, so it was easy to see where you put the hook (needle) under each bead. I'm just learning this and am fascinated by it - so you video - not assuming whomever is watching it knows even how to make a slip stitch - was sooooo helpful and I'm confident now. Not afraid to get the messy seed beads out.....(I have 4 cats.) THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!!!!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I know hoe to crochet but this has stumped me for months. Watching you work with this showed me what I was doing wrong. Can't wait to give this a go again!
Hi, what a great explanation! I understood it directly and tried it. I had to use thick yarn and big beads, but even that exercise looks gorgeous! Thank you so much, your video is the best!
Thanks for the tutorial. I've been having problems trying to start the bead crochet rope. After your video it made more since. Plus, you really have good close ups on the crocheting and give good details in your explanations. Some of the video's I've seen either didn't give a good close up or the person crocheted too fast to see what they were doing. This video helped a lot!!
This is great. I have always wondered how these were made, written instructions did not do it for me. Thank you! I knit and crochet with beads, so I will definitely try this!
Awesome job of it! I understood your work completely:) And I'm so glad I found this tutorial...I have crocheted for many years and was happy to find you incorporated a bit of crochet and beading together...so much fun! Thank you:)
Hi Gianna it takes a lot of my patient to learn chrocket. But i'm game to put a lot of effort and time consumed. thanks a lot with much heaps of appreciation in showing us how to do it.
Didn't catch what bead you used, sorry new to beading and crochet but this looks a good one to try. And thanks for showing that split needle for threading! Bought a pack a while back thinking they were just needles, at least now I know Told you I was a newbie ( retired one) 🌹
I finally found it and it is in 2 parts. TY for answering my other e-mail. I knew it was not on the macramé channel. This is it if anyone else needs it. I know you have a ton of tutorials so it is difficult to remember each one of them.
Muito obrigada Esse foi o melhor tutorial que já vi nesse seguimento vc usou um material maior que ficou muito fácil de entender Ajudou muito Parabéns!!!
So Gianna, the instructions seem perfect and I completely followed every step in my head. And for years, that has never been an issue... I understand *how* to do tubular crochet, I just can't make my hands do what my brain is telling it. However, I feel totally motivated to try it again, because I would have taught it, like you did (but I would not have been able to demonstrate it - - strange, right?), so I know that I "have it in me." If I succeed, it's all because of you 😉
I have crocheted for YEARS but beading crochet is a real challenge for me. I have all the right stuff thread, needle, beads, etc. But, I'm having a lot of trouble even starting out a beaded crochet. Is there something that you could suggest that would help me? Thank you for all of your tutorials, they have helped me greatly!! Linda
going to give this a go... found some really great patterns on line .. there are some really awesome designs available .... what a challenge ! Thank you for sharing .... and inspiring ... . :)
I Agree with Barbara Burnett. Awesome video. Could you maybe show us how to work your colours from a chart. What I mean is how to put them on the yarn. I got a lot of seed beads but they are not all the same size. One colour but not all of them are the some thickness, do you think I can use them for this. Thanks again for the tutorial.
I hope to be able to do this - I will let you know how it turns out. P.S. No need to video you picking up all the beads, I think that was bit much after a few time. I do like the putting the yarn into the bag :)
thank you for tutorial i have been trying this for quite a while but couldnt get my head around it ,but watching yours got it first go thankyou ,can you do this with seed beads aswell ?
The photo is confusing, it is hard to tell if you are the dude or the lady, not that it matters at all. You have a masculine voice and androgynous hands , not too feminine in spite of the polish and not really masculine either . Whichever you are , you are truly talented . Please don't take it as a critique , if you are the lady then good for you, you have a very sexy voice and strong hands and if you're the dude and just like nail polish , even better , people should be free to do whatever they please with their appearance . And also you must live in a fantastic area , the sound of nature and birds in the background is so beautiful.
This is by far the funniest part of this tutorial! I am so confused and frustrated after just 10 minutes into the video I had to pause! I am never going to understand this! I think my brain is dead! lol
Thank you for the video. I begin this first. And I see a lot of videos and it's going ever wrong. But after your video it's working very good. Thank you thank you thank you 👌👏🙂🙂🙂
Hi, I understand everything your showing and the animated version also... but I can honestly tell you I have a blasted mess. I have tried for days and still can not get it... This is one thing I want to do but have yet to be able to handle it..... My left hand is so tired I have to give it up for tonight.... I am using large thread and pony beads after failing at crochet thread and size 8 beads..... I have tried different crochet hooks I am helpless.... this mess I have going I will continue for a while tomorrow and see if I to have that AHA moment... Thank you for the video cause I have been wanting this for years. Sigh....
I have crocheted for years, but this I would not boggle my mind to do, there are too many easier video's to do and get the same effect. it's way tooo mind bending...and not worth getting vexed over...try the video's that are not croched.
Starting is the hardest part. I hope you persevered! It is really important to put the bead to the right of the crochet hook once you are in the loop ready to make your stitch, then pull the seed bead you are adding kind of on top of that one. The top row will always look a little funky with the beads sticking up like little tires. When you do the next row it makes them lie down like a little doughnut.
lol I was just looking up Bead East to start Tribal crocheting I wanted to make the rope style then I followed to there u-tube site and I noticed you on the side bar with a video. Pretty funny. I have crochet for many of my 55 yrs old not really that long my mom taught me at about 9 yrs old. Thank you for some faster help on where the beads go.
I understand the instructions you give in the video, but I'm a bit annoyed that the active parts (hands, beads and yarn) keep going off camera. It makes it a bit hard to follow in some places. That is something to keep in mind for later videos.
What size crochet needle, beads and yarn are you using? I'm trying to figure this out and I'm struggling but I love your video I can follow what your doing very easy.
Thank you... I do have a question, how do you know how many beads to put on the yarn for each proyecto or there is a way to add beads when you already started?
Elena Ro I know this post is old but if you haven't gotten anywhere with this type of beading, you will get your answers at the following site. Which also is another form of doing this type of beading called Kumihimo. BTW you can download the book on Kumihimo for $9, which is really cheap compared to a paper copy. I like it because it is instant but the values is the best. www.interweave.com/article/beading/kumihimo-questions-answered/ Good luck.
I know it has been over 2 years ago, but use this video if you still do not know your answer. This lady is good with answering many different questions about this type of project.
The subtitles are coming in the way of your performance so the tutorial is not seen . As I can't see what exactly you are doing I can't understand . Sorry to say so. Please look into the matter 🙏🙏
Just saying, the crochet hook is a needle. In different countries, they call it one or the other. Even older people call them needles. We started calling them hooks because it has a hook.
For the maker of this video. I know I am late to this link, but thank you for your brilliant instruction on crochet beading. I love the art using the Kumihimo principle and board. Whoohoo, bravo :-) What's next on the list. Soutache or macrame? :-)
I actually want to seriously try both especially after watching you do a couple videos on each im hooked :) now to plan out what to start on and what supplies I may need for it and to do one at time along with my other bead weaving projects im currently working on too :)
well both are highly addictive crafts. Can't wait until I moved to get back to making those kind of tutorials :-)
Thank you for using larger than usual yarn and a larger hook (plus big beads) so your viewers could clearly see your technique. This is a very helpful video, especially in terms of bead placement. Thanks again!
You are BRILLIANT!! I spent about 2 weeks trying to make simple crochet like on your tutorial and only now I GOT IT :) ! Thank you so much!
so happy to hear that, love it when people tell me I just made it "click" for them :-)

your tutorial is by far the best among the lot. thank you so much.
Thank you! This is the first time I've been able to see what's going on. And I already knew how to crochet LOL
Didn't catch what bead you used, sorry new to beading and crochet but this looks a good one to try.

Thank you for talking and working your way through this, it is just what I needed for understanding this.

mfbir1able You can do this, it needs to go straight from your eyes to your brain to your hands :-) So sit and watch and do at the same time

This has helped me to learn how to do it with one colour through out-Thank You!!🙂

Best beginner video!! Thank you!!
I hope to be able to do this - I will let you know how it turns out. P.S. No need to video you picking up all the beads, I think that was bit much after a few time. I do like the putting the yarn into the bag :)

thank you for tutorial i have been trying this for quite a while but couldnt get my head around it ,but watching yours got it first go thankyou ,can you do this with seed beads aswell ?
these are seedbeads i used Lorraine. Miyuki seedbeads size 6/0
Very, very, helpful on the second method as my shawl project has the last row in hemming in the beads.
I want to try crochet rope one day because they look so nice and you give video thanks a lot
I liked your explanation... love from Egypt

Hi maybe I missed it but can you please tell me what size thread and beeds to get. I love the video. Thanks for sharing
I used a pretty thick yarn and size 6/0 miyuki seedbeads. Not sure what the size of the yern is but the beads fitted :-)
Lindo D+...Tem q ter muita paciência. Parabéns, você ensina muito bem.
thanks so much for this video, ive seen many tutorials but now i finaly got it!
You're welcome Dora. :-)

here is the finished project
awesome love what you did with the ends :-)
I'm patient Gianna, I'll wait. No hurry!!!!
Hi can you show too how to do the invisible closure on the ends instead of using a clasp. Thanking you Patricia
Great instructions however your camera is so low to the bottom of the page that it’s almost impossible to see what you’re doing.
Very nice instructions but sometimes we lose view of the process. Please be aware of where your camera is. Thank you!
Bet that is hard with the big needle and yarn. It becomes easier after a while with thin thread and small needle
When it comes to Gianna's work, we have all the patience we need!!!! Thanks for commenting Benita!
I did this when I was in my teens taught by my mother Thankyou
Heel mooi en een goede uitleg ❤
Hola me encanto porque a pesar de que no se aclara inglés te entendí muy bien gracias.
Thanks for tutorial. What and where did you get that needle? I have such a hard time threading needles. Age is getting to me. LOL
you mean the wide eye needle? I got that from my local craftstore but you can also get them on ebay
Hallo super schön. Ich verstehe kein Englisch aber ist so klar. Nur weiss ich nicht wie viel mm müssen die Perlen sein.

Hi Gianna, how long should be the basic line for bracelet pls?
شكراً لكم على العمل طيب
Thank you from Denmark :)
The subtitles are coming in the way of your performance so the tutorial is not seen . As I can't see what exactly you are doing I can't understand . Sorry to say so. Please look into the matter 🙏🙏
Can you please help me- I want to know how to join the two ends together using this method- please reply in English!!
I love it. thanks for sharing.
Great video. I love how you know messing up or using the "wrong" stuff. You learn so much from trail and error :-) Keep up the great work #B4P
my Granny, she was crochet Paganini, as for myself, I am done here by the beginning of the second row - Im lost as donkey in the woods...

How many beads did you use in this video?
How do you measure how much yarn that you want for a bracelet
Wonderful! thank you very much.
Your hands go off camera a bit too much. We need to see the process of adding the next rows. .
Great video!
Thank you for sharing

Vicky
Thank you very much, this is the most clear explication I have seen...
Thank a lot...I go to do it just know.
Glad I was of help :-)
Thank you so much..God bless you.
Precioso trabajo. un saludo
Look up Kumihimo. So much easier and a lot less time consuming.
Threading started as silver white black but crocheting started as silver black white🤔😁
OMG, not sure I can do this one, LOL But shall try
Great video! Thanks!
So frustrating that a good demo is lost due to bad camera angle
What size have the beads?
Me gustaria esta tecnica en español, me podeis decir gracias
It's a crochet hook, it's not a needle, just saying,
Just saying, the crochet hook is a needle. In different countries, they call it one or the other. Even older people call them needles. We started calling them hooks because it has a hook.
Kár, hogy a munka lényege sokszor a kamera látószögén kívül van
It's very confusing to watch video because of subtitles
Can't see properly.
I have no subtitles in my video. Maybe by accident you clicked on CC?
I think it might be way easier to buy the Nepal bracalets😂
कोई नेपात की मालाओ की शोप का नम्बर हो तो बताये

Your crochet hook is big...🤔
Thanks a lot.. But it still hard for me
I love that about your videos :-)
good job but it needs a lot of patience
Sa existe pa en français?!?
this is really cool....
