I don’t see anything that is new or revolutionary about anything he does here. He is extremely polished and strong but this sort of stuff was being done in 2001. Cloud Rawbzilla and the rest of Originality Stands Alone Orb and the rest of Circle of Fire A lot of early Korean stuff had a lot of lifts that are reminiscent. Reveal had a lot of theatrics like this. I definitely don’t think he is changing the game. The game goes back to 1980 it’s pretty old now. Older than I am and I was dancing in the nineties. A lot of dancers when I was a kid were in there thirties or fourties. From Rocksteady. If you truly have never seen anything like this you could get a lot out of going back and looking as far back as freestyle sessions 3. That was when people really started to put the whole thing in its modern form. Freestyle Session 7 is still some of the best dancing I have ever seen and a lot of that stuff especially what Ground Zero was doing at the time I haven’t seen modern dancers touch on it. There’s a lot of stuff from that era that would seem new if you hadn’t been watching since then.
Reminds of cloud in his slow motion phase. Post freestyle session 7. He did this sort of fast slow thing specifically I remember his BC one performances. Also a bit of a rawbzilla osa vibe. Circle of Fire as well. Not my thing but I get why people like it.
