I dunno but the 2100s are very fascinating. While technically they are almost the same with the 9000 series from Alstom (though not a surprise since the 2100s are also built by Alstom along with CAF), they look like they're from the 70s, not from 1997-2002 when they were built.
Open gangway cars, plug type doors (along with big picture windows), and 3 minute headways. These are standard subway technologies in other countries, but which are completely foreign for NYCT.
Thanx for the video. A couple of things . They use overhead wire rather than DC 3rd rail. The door opening handles seem to operate the opposite to the logical way of opening.
Normal for the 9000 series is the same manufacturer .... Alstom .... The 9000 series is part of the Alstom Metropolis family that can be found all over the world.

So beautiful, clean, and quiet...

Wow they have impressive acceleration. When I was in Barcelona I always took L3 so I will be excited to see that
The L4 was on of my favs when I lived there.
And me
I have a memories there 😭

in the past L4 along with many other lines where 3rd rail, until late 90's
Interesting, they sound almost like DC Metro 1k's sweet
Great video 👍🏻
Nice video
Hmm nice
That train model reminds me of London underground for some reason
It reminds me of the three front windows in the 3000 and
Cool!

@hanover square or is it
Well, nice

Wow
Wait a minute. These trains sound a lot like the R211’s propulsion sound

little curiosity the 2100 igbt traction motors were the first onix ones made by alstom
Does anybody know who makes these train sets.. oh I see.. Alstom.
that's why they have the R160 HVAC sound
2100 CAF/Alstom
9000 Astom
it makes nyc seem like 3rd world country
Plus the people seem nicer. (Everyone minding their own business)
I'm sorry to tell you that this one is probably the line in worst condition in terms of infrastructure of the whole metro xd
O
Cool
