Personally, I think this is one of the most beautiful pieces of dance choreography ever made. The theme of acceptance & tolerance for one another is constantly reminded & shows through so clearly. From the amazing choreography that reflects struggles of the racial minority, the marginalisation our world sees, carefully chosen dancers to reflect certain roles down to the details of the costume reflecting the different shades of human skin that we come in, this piece is INCREDIBLY beautiful & impactful.
I don't see any other team representing this piece as good as them because if you watch carefully, this team of dancers is so incredibly diversed with people from all sort of ethnic backgrounds & people of all shapes & sizes, all working together to produce this wonderful piece through a common passion of dance. A perfect representation of acceptance & tolerance that they tried to pull of in their theme.

The passion that this performance showed gave me actual tears . Damn not only was it so pleasing to watch but the raw emotion of the movements and facial expressions 😭
Cookies are absolute legends in this dance community. Thank you for being such a big inspiration to me
Honestly have no idea how one could choose a winner between Cookies, Company and Brotherhood. All 3 were outstanding in their individual ways.
Exactly my thoughts. I think any one of those 3 could've placed first. It all just depended on the judges.

ossander ken Kinjaz were organizing and they had a showcase, but didn't compete
kinjaz never compete at these kinds of events :P
Brian Price brotherhood set was boring the video cuts for transition was nice but the actual set that they had to perform was dull

Well, I find the yelling guy annoying as well, but we should understand that the dancers were there to perform for their LIVE audience, and the audience were there to support the LIVE performance. The video itself is just a secondary thing. And I would like to quote Carlo Darang, the co-director of Choreo Cookies (hope he would not mind): „Dear live audience: no matter how much hate you get on TH-cam, keep cheering and screaming your heads off for the ones dancing on stage. To each their own, but I love performing to a loud crowd and I love cheering my friends on.“

The guy that is yelling is actually doing a good job. Im a dancer and i know the feeling about being shouted by my name. The thing is whenever you hear your name while performing.. you get hyped and that makes you performed better. So i hope we should stop complaining about that guy. ❤️
Understand your point but as a member of the audience, I want to feel the emotion the dance is trying to convey. This guy shouting in the background ruins that atmosphere. If this is a happy dance, I would not mind the cheering. Unfortunately it's not.
I'm a dancer too and while I could appreciate someone screaming my name to hype me up, I'd much more appreciate someone that doesn't disrupt the atmosphere for other audience members. I'm trying to get a message and art across properly and he's not letting me.
This guy was excessive. Read the music and artpiece, it was a serious topic and I'd want the audience to be engaged.
Scream that much for a piece that's louder and more of a show of skill than a serious message and I wouldn't have cared.
I agree, but he has to know that he is RIGHT NEXT to the camera, videos are forever and maybe screaming a few names is okay but constantly yelling out someone is gonna take away from an audience member’s point of view

To be fair with the guy screaming, he could've just done it less frequently and let people appreciate the seemingly speechlessness of the whole crowd. I am part of the community and I definitely know how invigorating it feels to have someone from the crowd cheer you or your whole team on, but at the rate he's doing it, it really would hinder other people's experience watching the performance, on or off TH-cam. If the shouting can be heard on the mic of the camera, what more if there are people right beside him? There's a right time and right place for everything my dudes.

All good! My hearing is probably from my 5 years in Naval Service so that might be the reason why I didn't hear him. I guess its a plus for me lol. At least we all like the performance!

you dont need to shout everybodys name to show off that you know them... supporting is really good and all and you can hear the crowd cheer but when you stick out like a sore thumb and cheer excessively, it might have ruined the experiences for others. Just my opinion, fully support cheering for your friends and all, but everything in moderation.
The video quality in this dropped from the start with good old yeller....Every video and choreo was respected but this one...
That guy was not yelling to support the team. He was yelling to seek attention.
