Usman vs Colby was a dogfight man. I never expected them to slug it out in the middle of the octagon like they did. Both came to fight and absolutely took it to each other lol.
Nah Fans who actually care about all the forms of Martial Arts can pretty much guest how fight are gonna go and are usually right the retards who only care about stand and bang are likely to say that
The only fight on this list that I knew would be good or at least a lot better than people thought it was going to be was Usman vs Covington. I knew they were gonna stand and bang because 1.) They hate each other. 2.) They’re wrestlers and typically when you put wrestlers up against each other, their wrestling cancels out or they don’t even shoot for a TD cause there’s no point. Then it becomes a striking battle. 3.) They wanted to overshadow the Masvidal vs Diaz fight and be more exciting (they succeeded) since both of them been talking shit about Masvidal and Diaz being journeymen. 4.) They wanted to prove a point and try to KO each other.
@@akilbrazier1421 I'm not gonna that and say I agree with you because I already know that I agree because I just learned something from you they were both trying to overshadow. The masvidal fight and you are correct they did
Jones Reyes seemed like it would be a great fight too. Undefeated physical freak. His last 4 wins in particular were against very good fighters. Anyone who thought it wasn't going to be a good fight hadn't been watching the UFC.
Ben A I didn’t know much of Dominick Reyes besides that he knocked out Chris Weidman prior. So I thought Jones would steamroll him even though I hate Jones. Needless to say I became an even bigger Reyes fan that night. He should be the new LHW champion right now.
i’m not even kidding, you guys are my only connection to the MMA world. i seriously know nothing about the MMA but i still binge watch these videos because you guys make it fun/interesting.
I will say I was really interested in the Covington-Usman fight because they hated each other, but i was blown away by how great of a fight it ended up being.
The fact Kevin Lee fought so many times with staph infection and was still competitive speaks volumes about how physically gifted he is. I know some people who have gotten staph infection from training or during BJJ practice and they said it was so ridiculously draining that they didn't want to do anything, like the fact he did his weight cutting on top of having staph at least 3 times that we know of is incredible. Also, athletic commissions are dumb as hell because staph infections are VERY EASILY SPREAD!!!
I've watched that Lawler / McDonald fight maybe a dozen times. Every time, I can't believe how bad they fucked each other up. It's both awesome and awful at the same time.
I knew Colby be Usman would be a great fight. Both pressure fighters with high stamina and they both really wanted to hurt each other. They matched up perfectly
dxc the fact both there strengths are wrestling they would want to avoid it, plus Colby is always rushing in throwing wild punches on the feet in every fight
I feel like Gustafson won the first Jones fight but nobody ever talks about it for some reason. Edit: I don’t think it was a one sided fight or anything. I just think Gus should have edged the decision; especially if points would have been taken away for Jones eye pokes(which should have happened).
But fight vs dom reyes is a robbery and gus fight was close but you can see jones winning 2nd and 3rd round due to leg kicks and gus only lnaded like 30 shots on jon but reyes landed like 120
No, Jones won. Rewatch it. People thought it was a robbery because it was the first time Jones faced real adversity and it wasn't his usual dominating performance, so some of the fans thought that meant he lost (It clouded their judgement) Jones had the bigger moments and more of them. It was a close fight that Jones won, not a robbery. Dom vs Jones is a much better example of a robbery.
@@poopforthought6456 its only your oppinion you known deep down in your heart that fight was close but reyes clearly won this fight and nobody remeber dc fight was close to against jones, i thought dc won first 3 rounds
Not only was Lawler/McDonald II the greatest title fight of all time, but 189 in general was the single greatest main card of all time. It was really a magical show, 5 matches, 5 finishes (2 by flying knee), the Rory/Robby war, and the beautiful live band entrances for the main event. Just enjoyable top to bottom, no real down time to be found.
