    I couldnt do the tweezers step, they didnt move the piece and ended up scratching and ruining all that part, any other method? I tried opening from the back but seems like only from the front side you can access to the lens

      Use a lens spanner, that's a specific tool to open a lens

    Hi! I'm having a hard time opening the front cover/ring of the lens. Do you have any tips?

      Hi! Getting the front cover or ring off can be tricky! If it’s a tight fit, you may need to use a professional tool like a 'Lens Filter Ring Spanner Wrench Open Tool' to safely get a good grip. Tool Like this: neewer.com/products/neewer-camera-lens-openning-repairing-tool-kit-66601911

      me too! II had a type of clamp like the one in the video, but when I turned it after fitting it into the holes, it came off and scratched the plastic. Unfortunately, it was very hard to turn the first time. It took me a long time to turn it. Then you turn the lens and it falls out. You don't need to turn it much. About 20 degrees and it comes out. After that, the rest is easy. My tip is to mark with a black pen where each part fits so that it will be faster when assembling. You can also take pictures at each stage so that when assembling you know where each piece goes.

    Hey there! 🙂 thank you for this very informative video on cleaning dslr lens but i have heard somewhere that these lenses are filled up with nitrogen gas during manufacturing so please correct me if its not true the gas will be lost if we try to open it? I also want to clean my 50 mm stm lens but due to this doubt i feeling that it may be risky to open it, is it true my friend please clear my doubt!.

      In some case the interior of the lens glass is filled with nitrogen gas, preventing internal fogging due to temperature differences. Good quality binoculars and scopes are usually filled with nitrogen. As far as I know no camera lenses are nitrogen filled. Some pro lenses have dust and waterproof rubber seals.
      Dust or other particles that may accumulate on the external surfaces of the glass can usually be safely cleaned using a soft, lint-free cloth or lens cleaning solution designed for camera lenses.
      So your lens is not filled with nitrogen and you can open and clean it carefully. Hope your doubt is cleared my friend.

      I think you just have to think about the following: if there was gas inside your lens, how did fungus get in??? So if there really was gas, the fact that there is a bottom inside it would mean that the gas leaked out, and the air with fungus got in.

    hey can i use hand sanitizer for cleaning

    • @theinfiniteinfo
      @theinfiniteinfo  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I recommend NOT to use sanitizer directly as it may consists 70% to 80% alcohol. Sanitizer quantity must be very less so that it wont remove any lens coatings, so you can mix with clean water and use.

    Hi! is it possible to access at the focus ring? Mine gets really hard to move and i think there is some dust or sand in it

    • @theinfiniteinfo
      @theinfiniteinfo  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That may require the lens to be disassembled from the back side, so it is advisable to show it to a lens technician.

    how about the back lens how to clean that?

    • @theinfiniteinfo
      @theinfiniteinfo  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Once the front lens is removed, you can clean back lens from inside easily.

      Using this video you will have acess to all sides of all lenses. I cleaned it using disposable eyeglass lens cleaning wipes and everything worked fine. But since they were very damp, there were some small marks on it, so I had to use a lens cleaning cloth like the one used in the video to clean everything without marks.

    Sorry but this didn't help cause I have an infection at the back, between lenses in the back part of it and I haven't found any video showing how to proceed to clean it.

      Thanks for watching and for your feedback! Sorry to hear you’re dealing with an internal lens issue-it sounds tricky. Cleaning between the internal elements can be challenging, especially if it’s behind the back lens where dust or fungus can build up. For deep internal cleaning, I’d recommend consulting a professional repair service, as opening the lens yourself can risk damaging the internal parts or affecting the optical alignment. Wishing you the best in getting your lens back to perfect condition!
