Take ALL old towels, sheets, blankets, etc to the Humane Society!! Especially towels & washcloths, Hamilton Humane uses upwards of 100 blankets, 150 washcloths & 170 full size bath towels EVERYDAY! We all know pets become Christmas gifts , & then a large % end up in shelters. You can also take any of your or Tylers clothing (& home decor) to the resale boutique Trends for Tails in Noblesville! They carry upscale items & 100% of the proceeds go to the shelter. Now until Saturday, they are having a cool BOGO sale, you buy a top & get a pair of jeans, leggings, a skirt..any bottom FOR FREE! Plus it is tax deductible & helps with the cost of things they don’t get enough donations of. FYI, if you ever need extra pieces to the “closet system” in your linen closet, old school stores like White’s Ace Hardware, Hedlund’s & Sullivan’s (you should take Gigi to their “North Pole” to get your pic of her w/Santa since she missed the party, they do an AMAZING job!) ate the only places I’ve found extra little pieces without having to purchase a whole new shelf & take the accessory bag out. (i.e.-clips that screw into the wall & shelves snap into, the tips that go on the end so you don’t stab yourself, etc). I don’t understand how wire w/a Rubbermaid coating is considered a “closet system” in the 1st place lol 🤣! We are taking inspiration from you two & redoing quite a few of ours the IKEA way! Anyway, much love to everyone as always 🤗💜😘!
Wow, I don’t know why but it always makes me sad when the education system loses and good teacher. My sister quit a few years ago because she wasn’t able to educate the way she would like and now works for museums to help build educational programs at them and is much happier and tutors on the side to help get that direct education need in! Exciting change for you!
Jessica, you need to get more clothing in the deep olive green color you wore in the introduction. That color is gorgeous on you and makes your eye color look hazel. Green is so beautiful on you. Thank you for this video because it serves as a kick in the pants to clean my closet too.
This makes me so happy. I was a hoarder obsessed with shopping until August/September of this year when I discovered minimalism. I had to temporarily delete all my shopping apps and stop watching makeup videos until I could get myself under control and I purged 80% of my apartment. I feel free and so happy with this new lifestyle!!
Being organized and de cluttering is such a good feeling. One thing I’ve found with sheets is to fold both sheets and one pillowcase and then put all of that into a second pillow case. It keeps it all in one spot and keeps them from falling over. Cute clothes that you got also!
Thred Up is really awesome in the smaller sizes but the larger sizes are always slim pickings. Jessica girl you are on a major sweater kick lately! The uniqulo white one was just lovely on you!
I do agree with the comments saying to donate your towels, etc to an animal shelter, but I gotta tell you, while raising my kids old towels were a life saver when it came to large spills and yucky messes. It was great to throw an old towel on the mess so a lot of it could get absorbed while I could gather what I needed to get it really cleaned up correctly. I loved this video. It was so satisfying and also inspirational. I need to get busy lol.
Hi Jessica! Have you thought about placing the travel stuff inside one of the suitcase you use to travel. That way all your travel stuff is together and when you pack you are not rummaging through drawers or buying stuff because you can’t find a bag. When you do travel and use some of the stuff you can place any unused items in a tote and when you come back they go back inside the suitcase. That’s what I do. We have two suitcase and all toiletries bags, travel pillows, travel blankets, extra duffle bags, shoe dust bags, etc go inside.
I have been enjoying all of your videos lately! You come up with the best video ideas. You are my favorite TH-camr I’ve ever discovered because you are so down to earth and real. Please never lose that! I hope I run into you sometime when I’m in Carmel!
I NEVER comment but I just had to say every time a Kings Island reference comes up I am so happy because I grew up literally right behind it. It especially makes me smile because I live in Germany with my husband and have been away from home for 3 years :) My parents went to IUPUI and Butler so I also love the memories that come back hearing about Indy!
I just cleaned all my closets, drawers & cabinets a few weeks ago. I'm with you on just having a organized, cleaned closets and drawers that work for you and not Pinterest pretty. Its real life. Every time I've tried the matching pretty basket route it didn't end up working functional for us.. Great video!
That light grey-green sweater looks like a sage green on my end. I love that blue striped dress; it looks so sweet and kinda country with a vintage flour sack or linen tea towel vibe.
Carina Gonzalez -YEESS!! We donated a ton of stuff when we lost our 10 year old Redbone Retriever & as we were speaking with the head of donations, she said on AVERAGE...that our (not very big) Humane Society uses: 100 blankets, 150 washcloths & 170 full size bath towels EVERY DAY 😱! They even said they will take sheets & pillowcases because volunteers will cut them up & put catnip in some to make kitten toys or a sheet can be cut up into cleaning rags, etc! Now we take all of our linens to them! 🐾❤️
Lol! Your comments on LL Bean! I live in Maine and it’s so funny to hear what “out of staters” say about it! It’s so normal here to see everyone strutting around in their bean clothes and boots! Love your videos and love that you’re doing more lifestyle type videos! 💕
Letha Works -It’s so flipping expensive!! LOL, & this past year we had HOT weather from basically April until the end of September, so we only had about 2 weeks of actual “fall” temperatures then BAM..winter! So it’s like...do I want to pay $70 for a turtleneck that I’ll wear a few times over the next 3-4 months? I do love their jackets & bags though!! HeeHee 😉
Letha Works I literally had to pause video. I was laughing too much. I'm from New England too. LL Bean is everyday type of clothes for all people. I was once told the brand Timberland was for ghetto thugs so I understand where Jessica was coming from with L L Bean but so funny. Outside New England certain brands are looked at so different. I always wonder what brands in other parts of the country maybe we in New England have thoughts about others would laugh about.
Pamela T OMG, that is a genius idea & would be a hysterical video! With Indiana being landlocked, I know my husband & I would just ask to be pointed to the fish market (monger?) in town that makes the best lobster roll...like...somewhere the lobster hadn’t been frozen for an unknown amount of time, them shipped in a semi we hope was really cold & that the teenager at the grocery store put them into the freezer right away instead of letting them sit out & starting to thaw before putting them up where they re-freeze...YEAH...this is what we worry about every time we buy seafood unless we go to our butcher that gets seafood in every day. Even then, etc our prayer before seafood meals includes, “& please keep us safe from any food born illnesses”!
Rebecca Ude I think food would need way too many videos. Just think of how the Mid-West and the South share some cuisine but at the same time the food is very different. Monger might be a word more popular in the West, not sure. People would know what you mean in New England though. I imagine the seasoned, packaged meats that say Memphis BBQ are not even half as good as the real deal. The perception of clothing brands across the USA I think is really unknown to the public as a whole and can be very different state to state. The perceptions and trends on makeup brands/products across the country tends to be so similar which I find truly interesting.
Going back through your declutter series just cuz I need more Jessica in my life!! 😂😂 Everyone is decluttering their lives right now during this pandemic anyway! Thankful for these playlists! Lol
Was watching this while decluttering hall closet. Towels, expired meds, lotions going bad etc. Thanks for keeping me company while I did it. Also thank Tyler for suggesting the chickpea egg dish. Wow that was really good!
This is just the motivation I need! I'm 21 weeks pregnant & get so stressed looking at my closet and all the clothes I can't wear. I've just been adding maternity clothes & not purging out stuff that doesn't fit.... Not a good strategy.... Putting plastic totes on my shopping list, closet purge on my Christmas break to-do list, and this video on my "cleaning motivation" watch again list. :)
Just want to thank you for recommending Grove Co. I used your code and ordered some products a couple of weeks ago. I now find myself cleaning more often because A: the products work and B: they smell amazing! I especially like that they are better for the environment (therefore better for me to inhale!) than traditional cleaning products. I just cleaned my (white) vanity and was amazed at how much cleaner it looks after using the Mrs. Myers multipurpose cleaning spray. Again, thanks for sharing!
I have been recently feeling like organizing and decluttering my apartment. I'm in spring clean mode and yet it isn't even winter. Haha. But I remember when I first start watching you I binged your declutter videos and you got me in the mood to declutter then and now I want to again!
You do a great job at organizing and decluttering videos! I like that you explain a bit what you’re keeping or getting rid of and why, which is useful to the viewer, but you don’t go into too much detail on every little thing, which makes videos too long and laborious...like this run on sentence 😏. I too am trying to be more minimalistic in just having less and simplifying. It just feels good! Thanks for producing such great content!
Watching this and halfway through I was inspired and decided to re-organise my own drawers so my winter pyjamas are no longer taking up space in my main pyjama/trackies drawer! Thanks Jess :)
I always enjoy your decluttering videos. Im sure you feel great having everything organized. I love all of your new sweaters, but my favorite is the burgundy cardigan - simply gorgeous!! Thank you so much for sharing all of these awesome videos! You have a sweet little family, including Pinocchio!!❤️
I've been doing organizing this week, especially the linen closet. I like Ikea and Target for organizer containers. My linen closet is really getting there.
I love these videos. I did my linen closet a couple of years ago. My kids each have a basket with their sheets in it. One shelf is towels. I have baskets for the small towels. What I want now is larger baskets for our extra blankets. Here in Canada it gets cold we need the extras.😊❤
Jessica! Omg I’ve been watching your videos for so many years, and a video of you singing “I’m not afraid” popped up in my recommended videos today. I just wanted to say you have such a moving voice! I had goosebumps listening to you. You have the perfect Disney princess voice ❤️ tons of love from Nashville and see you on your next video!
I use a clear shoe organizer to hang on a door to organize my workout clothes. Works great and I can see it all, plus doesn’t take up rack or dresser space.
Fire Fox I do the same thing, but it’s on my main curtain rod instead of the door, & it holds all of my bras...LOL 🤣! It works great though because I put one in each shoe holder & they don’t get smashed, forgotten at the bottom of a drawer, etc! P.S.....I am so very sorry if you are a male b/c if so you are probably dying right now..took a chance b/c your user name doesn’t give amy hints...🤷🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️. Happy Holidays regardless 🤗
I love that feeling after decluttering, or even just reorganising. I reorganised my drawers and shoes recently and even though I didn’t get rid of much just changing the way I kept things and swapping things round made the drawers so much easier to use and they close properly now. I need to do my wardrobe where I store things next, though it’ll probably be after Christmas with everything else I’ve got to do now.
Watching this while finishing edTPA lesson plan assignments... I love your declutters so much! They make it so much easier to do whatever it is I'm trying to muscle through!
I ❤ decluttering & organizing & watching videos of others doing it!! My Christmas present from my husband this year was Fasttrack rails & hooks for our garage so I can FINALLY declutter & organize it😁
Jesse! keep some of your old Disney stuff for GiGi! you can pass along tops for future "vintage" but can also do a quilt with them and add a little note with your guys' memories. I guarantee she would cherish it
You and Tyler are on a roll! Putting out really consistent videos, doing Vlogmas, Instagram posts and taking care of a young baby?!?! Y'all are rocking it!
So motivating!!! Thank you for sharing! I love your decluttering and cleaning videos because they are so real, enjoyable to watch, and something I can do! As a mommy of four young children (7, 5, 4, and a 4 month old) I need this kind of inspiration... not unrealistic expectations! 💕🙌🏻
Love your decluttering videos! I'm always decluttering as well & it's so satisfying to get rid of items you really don't reach for or no longer enjoy! Love your channel (& Tyler's too)! ❤️💗❤️💗
You're so right! I visited my local shelter recently on a tour with a few of my students that I tutor and the lovely woman who gave us the tour told us that they have to wash towels, blankets, sheets, etc daily.
I decluttered our walk in closet and it felt so good and a relief to purge 3 trash bags of stuff!! My girls 12&18 have to clean out and purge every December their rooms. They need to give to others and make space for new stuff. It’s a tradition. Love your videos 💕
As a sorority girl, I essentially live in comfort colors! I absolutely love their sweatshirts and have three of them and well as way too many t-shirts that are comfort colors
An old lady recommendation;). If you have seasonal stuff in those closets or anything that isn't regularly used consider putting them in lidded boxes or bags. If they sit there for a couple of months at a time without disruption, they can get dusty.
I am also on more of a minimalist journey :D It is so refreshing and exciting. I have stopped buying things I no longer need and I will not buy excess. It has been such an amazing feeling and to not give into such crazy shopping habits. We now have more money for disney trips, house, new cars we have always wanted, etc. But keeping things to a minimum of course.
Have you ever thought about doing a month long declutter challenge series? Your followers could take on a challenge every day with you and with the new year coming, it would be a fresh start.
I love watching these but it does seem like no matter what we always seem to clutter it back. It's crazy we just bought a house and I decluttered everything now my husband on the other hand feels like he might use it one day even tho he hasn't in years lol. But this video makes me want to go clean. Also I watched you vlog the other day with your crockpot and I was like I think I have the same one , goes to show you how much I use it lol, but I used it today and it is the same one I love it!
I really enjoy this type of video. I need to go through ALL my closets. Maybe sometime this winter.? I like that you have normal closet and furniture. Most people don’t have ‘Pinterest worthy’ homes. I just want to see normal. Thanks, Jessica!! 💕
Ok you got me cleaning again! While watching you I organized my clothes and got rid of 3 bags of clothes! But I feel so much better because the clothes I do have I'll wear more often! And I got ,y grove products and I am so happy with everything I love the products and all the free goodies I got for using your code! Keep decluttering and I'll clean with you!🤣🤣
I love decluttering and organizing! I am moving soon so this is inspiring to watch! I also have that Glossier sweater but am keeping mine! I enjoy clothing more than other things too!
Love the fact that your nightwear drawer was stuffed like mine! But watching all your decluttering/organising videos are inspiring me to sort my $h&t out singing moving home after a break up😢, had to take everything as moved out of 3 bedroom house back to my childhood bedroom which I don't even have a wardrobe in.....I am using dad's old one in my mum's room, and it's recently broken! 💔 Need you to visit 🇬🇧 to kick my butt into gear, but your vids are virtually helping! 🤩🤗🤩 x
I love watching people declutter and organize- always gets me motivated to do the same. Where is your little brush case from? I need one and you mentioned you like it.
1. I'm glad you didn't get rid of your Gilmore Girls shirt! 2. Pintrest cupboards - I wish! I'd have to have someone else do that for me because I am not that talented! 3. Yes you have inspired me to do my linen closet - but I also need to do my wardrobe and draws and basically the entire house even though I swear the rest of the house is quite minimal because we don't have knick knacks etc and we don't 'decorate' for the seasons (it's not an Australian thing to do), we only have our Christmas tree and some small Christmas stockings! But loved this video!
I love thredUP! I saw a previous video of yours where you mentioned it and I’ve been OBSESSED ever since!! And Girl...i am so impressed with your closet clean out! It looks amazing!!
It’s always satisfying watching Jessica Declutter. Having a clean and clutter free home gives me clarity and focus.
Pauline Newman it's so inspiring to watch her declutter, right? 💖
Jessica Johnson Yes it is. These are some of my favorite videos from her.
Your old towels, sheets, washcloths...anything like that can be donated to animal shelters. They would LOVE to have them!! ❤️
Samantha Keough my step mom use to cut up old t-shirts and use them as cleaning rags. But I agree, animals shelters can always use them.
Thanks for giving a shout out to the shelters. It actually reminded me that I need to do this ASAP. 💜
Dana Cooley-Keith -Thank You for helping!! Furry “people” deserve a Happy Christmas too!! Much Love 🤗💜😘!! #JamBabies !!
Wow, I don’t know why but it always makes me sad when the education system loses and good teacher. Jessica, you need to get more clothing in the deep olive green color you wore in the introduction. That color is gorgeous on you and makes your eye color look hazel. Green is so beautiful on you. Thank you for this video because it serves as a kick in the pants to clean my closet too.
kellie i thought the same thing with her in that Green!!
Totally agree!! It's a Fab color for her!
Your organization and declutter videos are the best!
“Dang girl, you boujee” 😂😂😂 you’re the best!
This makes me so happy. I was a hoarder obsessed with shopping until August/September of this year when I discovered minimalism. It's worth it to keep two beach towels per person. We used to only have 1 a piece, and it's amazing how many times we'd wish for a second!
I have been enjoying all of your videos lately! You come up with the best video ideas. You are my favorite TH-camr I’ve ever discovered because you are so down to earth and real. Please never lose that! I hope I run into you sometime when I’m in Carmel!
This brings my organized soul such joy -- even to see things taken out and put all back in again neatly.
Donate your old towels to an animal shelter.
Great suggestion - I've volunteered at a few cat shelters, there's always a need for towels.
And sheets! They take it all and can always use it!

Literally decluttering my linen shelves and cleaning/organizing while watching. Love these videos so much. Makeup declutter after the big stuff!
Anyone else feels like cleaning after watching her video lol its midnight and i should be sleeping but I'm so prompted and want to clean FML
"I have an open drawer" sung to the tune of "Love is an open door". Some things are worthy of a show tune
Lol! Your comments on LL Bean! I live in Maine and it’s so funny to hear what “out of staters” say about it! It’s so normal here to see everyone strutting around in their bean clothes and boots! Love your videos and love that you’re doing more lifestyle type videos! 💕

Going back through your declutter series just cuz I need more Jessica in my life!! 😂😂 Everyone is decluttering their lives right now during this pandemic anyway! Thankful for these playlists! Lol
Do you have any fuzzy socks? I would put those in that spot next to the pajamas that was open :)
The way you model the clothes has me dying laughing! Your so damn cute Jes! Lol
I am in full on declutter mode - last night I even went through my sock drawer lol!
Was watching this while decluttering hall closet. Towels, expired meds, lotions going bad etc. Thanks for keeping me company while I did it. Also thank Tyler for suggesting the chickpea egg dish. Wow that was really good!

I always enjoy your decluttering videos. Im sure you feel great having everything organized.

Thank you so much for sharing all of these awesome videos! You have a sweet little family, including Pinocchio!!❤️
I've been doing organizing this week, especially the linen closet. I like Ikea and Target for organizer containers. My linen closet is really getting there.
For your sheets, someone I worked for would put their sheet sets in the coordinating pillowcases. It made organizing so easy.

I really enjoyed this declutter video. I am not into makeup so I hope you start sharing decluttering and organizing videos of the rest of your home.

Hi Jessica, I am loving these organizing videos more than the makeup videos. You look like such a cleaning professional!
I ❤ decluttering & organizing & watching videos of others doing it!! My Christmas present from my husband this year was Fasttrack rails & hooks for our garage so I can FINALLY declutter & organize it😁
So satisfying! I actually kept my old hand towels (about 6) to use when my kid is vomity. I can drape them wherever I need to and not care about them.
Jesse! keep some of your old Disney stuff for GiGi! you can pass along tops for future "vintage" but can also do a quilt with them and add a little note with your guys' memories. I guarantee she would cherish it
“And by kind of, i mean it is” 😂😂 legit cracked me up, so something that i would say! Love your declutter videos so much!
This is just what I needed rn. I'm going to college next year and trying to declutter my life before then. Thanks Jess!
I always watch your declutter videos to get myself pumped to clean. My house thanks you!
You and Tyler are on a roll! Putting out really consistent videos, doing Vlogmas, Instagram posts and taking care of a young baby?!?! Y'all are rocking it!
These kinds of videos are why I subscribed to your channel! The declutter and purging videos are my jam!!
Not sure if it’s a teacher thing but I am a teacher and am also obsessed with striped shirts 😍 glad I’m not alone!
I LOVE THIS!!!! I litterally got up and started folding laundry while watching.
I love how you are switching it up with lifestyle videos!
Your local animal shelter or rescue will appreciate nice towels and blankets
I like to either hang my sweatshirts or fold and put on shelves in cupboard . They take up sooo much space !
I'd call that green Sage. I'm a bit of a green lover. It looks beautiful on you!
Yes yes yes yesssss yessssss YES! I love these kind of videos! I'm so glad you were able to film this one!
Your ability to just get rid of things is a downright inspiration hahaha. This video makes me want to go through all my drawers too!
I really enjoy this type of video. I need to go through ALL my closets. Maybe sometime this winter.? I like that you have normal closet and furniture. Most people don’t have ‘Pinterest worthy’ homes. I just want to see normal. Thanks, Jessica!! 💕
Great declutter! I’m totally inspired to take on a few drawers & the dreaded closet 🤘🏽
Ok you got me cleaning again! While watching you I organized my clothes and got rid of 3 bags of clothes! But I feel so much better because the clothes I do have I'll wear more often! And I got ,y grove products and I am so happy with everything I love the products and all the free goodies I got for using your code! Keep decluttering and I'll clean with you!🤣🤣
When you do the rolling method, it helps to put them in the back of the drawer first and stack it to the front instead of the other way around
Why is Jess so pretty? 😄😄😄 and there is still a whole video after the try-on haul 😍😍😍
I enjoy watching organizing and declutter videos, it just helps me relax.
Yes, SPCA is always needing old towels and washcloths 😘
I love your organization and declutter videos! They're so relaxing. 🤗
Jess, as a minimalist, I wanted to get rid of all your travel bags 😂 but you did a great job! Your linen closet looks amazing!
I love watching people declutter and organize- always gets me motivated to do the same. Where is your little brush case from? I need one and you mentioned you like it.
Can you please make a curly hair routine 💆♀️🧖♀️🤗
I watched this to get motivation to do the same areas!
Yes!! Disney reorganization!! 😍🏰
I live for videos like this 😍
And I had the same pink and orange comforter!!! I hate I lost it years ago, it was honestly so comfy!!
I'm procrastinating to clean and declutter my home watching ur videos jaja but it's addictive
I’ve been decluttering and organizing this week so this is perfect ! I think these are my favorite videos I absolutely LOVE organizing !
That glossier sweatshirt is so cute!
you are the queen of organizing very motivational and entertaining. More please
I LOVE your declutter and organizing videos! They inspire me to do the same.
Hi Jessica. You look great in the color emerald, definitely your color. I’m convinced gong to try thred
up..thank you.
Next time you do something like this you should film Tyler's reaction. It would be so fun to see!
I saw your linen closet and I got so excited to see that cleaned out!!
I put flat cutting boards down in my closet like your linen closet so nothing falls through the white bars. It really helps
Love your hair when its wavy curly..please do a hair routine when its like this :)
Marie Kondo's book The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up really changed my life, I can't recommend it enough💖
I love thredUP! I saw a previous video of yours where you mentioned it and I’ve been OBSESSED ever since!! And Girl...i am so impressed with your closet clean out! It looks amazing!!
